in this guide League of Legends: Wild Rift Leona, you'll find everything you need to know about the champion, from his abilities and how to allocate them to his build, skill combination, and runes. Here's what you'll find in the Leona guide below:
- Leona's Skills
- skill combos
- Order of skill level increase
- Summoner Spells
Leona, arguably one of the most powerful supports in League of Legends, finally arrived at Wild rift! I couldn't be happier, because she's definitely going to be one of the top picks for beginners and experienced players alike (especially the experienced ones).
Leona is not a difficult champion to learn, but it can take some time to master. She is exceptional in most situations since she is a support tank. Her powerful kit has the ability to turn the tide of battle in her team's favor and more.
With Leona on the team, your 1 point and click stun ability can negate any opponents involvement as well. So if you're looking for a champion to dominate that can be viable in 99% of cases, she's definitely the one for you!
LEAGUE OF LEGENDS: WILD RIFT LEONA'S ABILITIES
Harmful spells affect enemies with sunlight for 1,5 seconds. When allied champions damage these targets, they consume sunlight to deal bonus magic damage.
Aurora's Shield (Skill 1)
Leona uses her shield to perform her next basic attack, dealing bonus magic damage and stunning the target.
Eclipse (skill 2)
Leona raises her shield to gain Damage Reduction, Armor, and Magic Resist. When the duration ends, if there are enemies nearby, it will deal magic damage to them and extend the duration of the effect.
Zenith Blade (skill 3)
Leona projects a solar image from her sword, dealing magic damage to all enemies in a line. When the image disappears, the last enemy champion hit will be briefly immobilized and Leona will run towards them.
Solar Flare (skill 4 / ultimate)
Leona summons a beam of solar energy, dealing damage to enemies in an area. Enemies in the center of the area are stunned, while enemies outside are slowed.
How to match like Leona
Skill 2 -> Skill 1 -> Flash -> Auto attack -> Skill 4 (final) -> Auto attack -> Skill 3 -> Auto attack
This is one of Leona's toughest combos, but it's also one that basically leaves her opponents with no escape route. You want to activate your Skill 2 and Skill 1 before flashing, so when you land on your enemy you won't waste time activating skills (plus Skill 2 takes time to charge) and have your point and click ready to stun.
Then, you'll unleash your combo with Skill 3 and ultimate, and that should be enough to lock down any champion you're going to face.

Skill 2 -> Skill 3 -> Skill 4 (final) -> Auto attack -> Skill 1 -> Auto attack
This combo works great if you can fix your target easily from the start. You can pull this combo out of a bush, out of the fog of war, where enemies have no vision of you. You basically use your ultimate and skill 3 to stay true to your target and then finish with skill 1 to deem them unable to move.
Skill 3 -> Skill 1
This will be the main combo you want to do in Leona. You can do this as early as level 2 because with your high base defensive stats and a permanently CC opponent, this can give you an early game advantage.
Auto attack -> Skill 1 -> Auto attack
This is the basic auto-attack reset combo for Leona. You can do this as soon as an enemy puts up a shield, because this will kill the shield without having to use the Oracle lens.
What is the best order to level up skills?
In Leona, you want to max out your Skill 2 first, then Skill 3, and finally your Skill 1.
- Level 1: skill 1
- Level 2: skill 3
- Level 3: skill 2
- Level 4: skill 2
- Level 5: skill 4
- Level 6: skill 2
- Level 7: skill 2
Keep leveling Skill 2 until it's maxed out, then focus on Skill 3 and lastly Skill 1. Of course, whenever you can, you want to add 1 point to your (final) Skill 4.
The best summoner spells
Exhaustion : Exhausts target enemy champion, reducing their movement speed by 20% and their damage dealt by 40% for 2,5 seconds.
Flash: Teleport a short distance forward or in the desired direction.
WILD RIFT LEONA – THE BEST RUNES
When it comes to runes, Leona can choose A ou Font of Life. Both are good, so pick your favorite.
