Vinicius “VINI” Figueiredo will not be part of FURIA's CS:GO roster next year, according to a statement from the player today.

“FURIA, through Guerri, came to the conclusion that they would not like to count on me for the 2022 season,” he said. The player said he was saddened by the news, "but the life of a professional athlete continues like this".

VINI wants to continue in the CS:GO scene, and is "evaluating all proposals for [his] future as a player."

VINI is reportedly in the crosshairs of Team Liquid, which is aiming to revamp its CS:GO roster for the 2022 season. Stewie2k and FalleN are also considering their options, as RushBMedia said earlier this month. Changes on the North American side seem imminent, as Elige himself admitted in an interview released by Pley.gg.

The team is looking at brick nitr0 back, which may return to CS:GO from VALORANT, according to 1pv.fr. VINI may be the other novelty of the cast, as reported by Globo Esporte this week.

Morale on Liquid's field is low after the team failed to qualify for the PGL Major Stockholm playoffs, which took place a few weeks ago. Since then, the team has not practiced anything, as EliGE said in one of his streams.

A rebuild of Liquid's CS:GO lineup appears to be on the way. With VINI officially no longer representing FURIA, his joining the North American roster looks like a matter of days.

In addition, VINI underlined his plans for when he one day retires as a professional player. “I'm sure my post-CSGO future will be working in the esports scene, which I love and really want to be linked to FURIA,” he summarizes.
