Riot Games will be officially stepping into the first-person shooter genre when Valorant hits the market later this year. This title is a character-based tactical FPS game where two teams of five compete to eliminate each other and be crowned victorious. Within the game, in addition to choosing his character, the player will also have a variety of weapons to buy in order to defeat his opponents. In this topic we are going to talk about all the pistols present in Valorant. Currently, the game has five different types of pistols, one of which is the Shorty.
The Shorty is the second cheapest weapon in Valorant, costing just 200 credits. Only Classic , which can be purchased for free, is cheaper. With such a low cost, Shorty is a good option to buy in the first few rounds, so you can also buy some of your agent's abilities. Alternatively, you can play a round with Shorty if you want to fill up your credits wallet by spending little in the current round, so you can buy stronger weapons in the next round.

As is to be expected from a shotgun, the Shorty does a considerable amount of damage at close range. While each individual bullet does less damage than bullets from any other weapon, the high concentration of these bullets at close range produces high impact damage.
Shorty can fire twice before needing to reload. Each shot with Shorty shoots 12 shrapnel. This means that a well-aimed shot at close range and fully hit your target deals 144 damage. Only opponents with full health and an intact Heavy Shield would survive the blast and would need to take another hit to fall. However, Shorty's damage drops quickly, dealing only 25% damage when the target is more than 15 meters away.
Shorty suffers no recoil and you can fire both of your shots without having to readjust your aim. However, like all shotguns, the Shorty is subject to a large amount of bullets. When aiming for something close in Valorant, Shorty is extremely reliable. Even if you are on the move, it will hit the target as the weapon is not subject to motion inaccuracy like most other weapons.
However, the imprecision quickly diminishes. While from zero to nine meters you're guaranteed what you're looking for, the Shorty becomes incredibly reliable quickly. At ten meters away, a few bullets will already miss their target. From there, it only gets worse. At long range, Shorty's accuracy is so ridiculously poor that you'll be lucky if any of the twelve bullets hit the target.
