Riot Games will be officially stepping into the first-person shooter genre when Valorant hits the market later this year. This title is a character-based tactical FPS game where two teams of five compete to eliminate each other and be crowned victorious. Within the game, in addition to choosing his character, the player will also have a variety of weapons to buy in order to defeat his opponents. In this topic we are going to talk about all the rifles present in Valorant. Currently, the game has four different rifles, one of which is the Phantom.

    Rifle Phantom

Costing 2900 credits, the Phantom ranks as the most expensive assault rifle in the game, alongside the Vandal. It is one of the main weapons in the game, on which the player can bet his credits in the hope that it will lead him to victory in consecutive rounds to pay off his investment. It's best to buy the Phantom when you have a considerable amount of credits, ensuring that even if you lose the round, you'll still get some good weaponry the next round.

The Phantom's high cost is well worth its damage. The rifle instantly kills anyone with a headshot up to 15 meters away, and even beyond that, a headshot and any other area of the body that is hit will take down even a fully shielded enemy. If you're aiming at the enemy's body, perhaps because you still don't fully trust the accuracy of your aim, you'll need four to five bullets to take down an enemy.

The Phantom loses some of its power at medium and long range, unlike the Vandal's consistent damage. It's important to keep in mind, so you can determine what your strategy is when approaching combat with an enemy. A tip for Phantom players is that if you headshot the enemy Phantom, even if he is not instantly shot down, he will lose the accuracy of his aim for a short period of time, which can help you. to win the fight against your opponent.

The Phantom suffers some recoil, which starts to be noticed when you're shooting at targets more than 15 meters away. After the first three bullets, the weapon slowly moves up like any other rifle in Valorant. When it reaches the highest point, it starts moving from left to right.

In short and medium distance combats, it is valid for the player to hold the left mouse button and try to shoot down the opponent with a flurry of bullets, also known in some games as "spray". You can control the weapon's recoil by dragging the mouse slowly down. However, in long-range combat, it is best to shoot in short bursts. The Phantom's first bullets are accurate, so you should hit the target much more safely if you click the fire button, rather than pressing it to fire multiple bullets in a row.

The Phantom also has a toggle zoom function to help you be more precise. When you switch to ADS mode by right-clicking the mouse, the viewfinder provides a 1,25x zoom. Additionally, the Phantom's recoil is slightly reduced, further increasing the weapon's accuracy. However, this does not completely remove the recoil of the weapon.

However, not always using the Phantom's ADS mode will be a good option, because when using it, the player will have a lower frequency of shots. Instead of firing 11 rounds per second, which is the weapon's default without the zoom, it fires at a rate of 9,9 rounds per second. Therefore, it is important for the player to know when to switch between modes. Remembering that it is highly recommended to use the ADS mode if you are expecting a medium to long range combat, so that you have greater precision and can eliminate your opponents.
