You've no doubt seen the leaked footage floating around online, but we can finally confirm that Breeze is the new map coming to Valorant as part of Episode 2, Act 3.

The map, which sits somewhere in the southern part of the Bermuda Triangle, is the sixth map to come into the game since its release last June. Although it looks like a bright and colorful environment: be warned, it's the perfect playground for agents wielding Operators.

With its large open spaces and ample choke points, Breeze does something that none of the other Valorant maps can encourages long-range engagements above all else.

As a result, the comps you'll see in Breeze will be completely different from the ones you regularly play on maps like Bind, Haven, and Split. It's an intentional design decision that should force more map diversity into Valorant ranked play.

“One of the main goals we had with Breeze was to build larger, more open spaces with longer sightlines than the other maps in the pool,” he said. Sal Garozzo, the game's senior designer, in a press release. “This provides an opportunity for different weapons and agents to shine.

“Each map should provide different strengths and weaknesses for roster agents to exploit, supporting different types of strategies and team compositions.”

To succeed in Breeze, players will need to take control while managing the large open areas around them.

As the map also has more choke points than some of the others, teams must work together if they want to take home the win.

Breeze will be released with Episode 2, Act 3 on April 27
