Looking for some PC sports game? For a long time, publishers were reluctant to bring their best-selling sports games to the PC. Aside from EA's annual FIFA release and Sports Interactive's Football Manager series, the sports genre on PC has been pretty sparse recently. Nowadays, no matter what sport you like, you can find it in some game.

Compared to their console counterparts, the sports games featured on this list often have smaller player bases, but that doesn't make them inferior. The PC versions of some of these games have a lot to offer, including support for high refresh rates and a variety of high-resolution panels. Ever wanted to see the whole field at a football game? This is entirely possible on PC.

Nowadays, you can find most sports games on PC with almost no difficulties. Sure, you can't get some games like UFC 4 and MLB The Show 21, but who needs them when you've got Street Fighter V and Super Mega Baseball 3? Here are some of the best sports games for PC.

The Football Manager series is known for being one of the most in-depth and strategic sports games of all time. Football Manager 21 puts you in the shoes of the next Pep Guardiola as he manages his squad of angry players while trying to cope with a tight transfer budget.

Football Manager contains databases of thousands of players, complete with detailed information about each individual's playing style and potential. Whether you decide to lead a non-league team to glory or prefer to dominate with a Super League team, Football Manager 21 gives you the tools to become a great manager.

Super Mega Baseball 3

When it comes to baseball games on PC, it's fair to say that we don't have many options. Fortunately, Metalhead Software's excellent baseball series offers an alternative to the licensed games available on the console. The developers have focused on creating an accessible experience that is easy to learn and play. Don't be fooled by the cartoon aesthetic, Super Mega Baseball 3 contains a lot of content both on and off the field.

You can focus entirely on the multiplayer aspect of the game, but there's a lot of single-player content worth exploring. A new addition to the series is the Franchise mode, which spans several years this time around rather than focusing on a single season. Build a strong team and watch them dominate the sport as you progress from humble beginnings to the great heights baseball has to offer.

The FIFA series has always been a PC gaming classic since the 90s. While there have been a few odd years between engine updates, EA has always stuck with the PC audience. FIFA 21 was far from the most innovative in terms of gameplay, but you know what they say, if it's not broken...

FIFA has dominated the football landscape since Ultimate Team was introduced to the masses with FIFA 11. The card game has completely changed sports games forever as players clamor for the latest game mode updates every week. . Bringing together your favorite past and present players is simply too tempting a prospect to ignore.

eFootball PES 2021

You can't mention FIFA without bringing up the Pro Evolution Soccer series, or eFootball PES as it's known today. Pro Evolution Soccer has been around on PC for nearly two decades now, and while it might not be as popular as the FIFA series, it certainly has its share of more dedicated fans. eFootball PES 2021 is known for its realistic view of football, giving players considerably more control over each player compared to FIFA.

This year's version of PES was a low-cost season update that only focused on changing squads and kits rather than a substantial update to game mechanics. Konami wanted to spend the year focusing on transitioning to Unreal Engine 5 for next year's game.

Madden NFL 21

Golf with your friends

Golf With Your Friends is exactly what it sounds like. Play with up to 11 friends as you make your way through themed mini-golf courses. Power up power-ups to freeze your opponent's ball and lay honey tracks to stop players in their tracks. The game even comes with a built-in level editor for players who have a keen eye for golf courses.

Golf With Your Friends can be played simultaneously online or locally via the hot seat option. The game is perfect with Steam's Remote Play feature. NBA 2K21

If you're primarily playing offline, NBA 2K21 is an excellent game with a long career story mode for solo players to delve into. Not only do you have a full selection of modern teams available to play with, 2K21 also offers players a number of classic teams from throughout NBA history to choose from. Want to see how the 2021 Golden State Warriors stack up against the 1996 Chicago Bulls? You can play games like this without having to spend any extra money.

NBA 2K21 is the definitive basketball game for PC and also the only basketball series available right now. Almost every version of NBA 2K is full of cheaters that the developers are struggling to eliminate. Unfortunately, this makes online matches more frustrating than fun.

Steep is an open world game set in the Alps and gives you free rein on the slopes as you traverse the snowy environment in almost any way you see fit. At launch, Steep featured four main activities: paragliding, wingsuit flying, snowboarding and skiing. Since then, the game has received numerous expansions that have introduced new extreme sports and mountains from other parts of the world. There's even a Winter X Games and 2018 Winter Olympics expansion pack to work with if you want.

If you're looking for the winter equivalent of the Skate series, Steep's snowboarding and skiing options offer a similar vibe as you roll down a mountain trying to pull off some impressive tricks. You don't have to compete against other players for fun, but outpacing your friends while cutting through the snow at extreme speeds is a deeply satisfying feeling.

Rocket League

Source: Official game website

Rocket League is one of the best football games of all time. Yes, it replaces an 11-player team with rocket-powered cars, potentially adorned with a stack of pancakes or a sombrero, and it's still an excellent football game. The FIFA and PES communities constantly bicker with each other over scripted gameplay and pay-to-win mechanics, but you won't hear any of that about Rocket League.

Psyonix has perfected Rocket League's mechanics, allowing the game to be accessible to most people while maintaining an absurdly high skill ceiling. The eSports scene for Rocket League shows the depth of a game about flying cars. Even better, Rocket League is free to play and offers cross-platform on all platforms. If you have the slightest interest in hitting a huge ball with a flying car, try Rocket League.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2

Source: Official game page on the PlayStation website

Vicarious Visions' Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 remake takes everything you remember about these classic games and makes them modern. The Tony Hawk series quickly evolved when it first appeared in 1999, releasing a sequel with higher levels and improved mechanics for eight years in a row.

The original Tony Hawk games still hold today, but the important mechanics introduced in later games can make them hard to come back to. This remake takes the best aspects of the series and links them to the first two games to create a masterpiece. Whether you're looking to play with your friends locally, or you want to see how you do online, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 features robust multiplayer options for all player types.

Who said there were no sports games on PC? Basketball, football, rocket-powered vehicular football. Whatever you want, it's on the PC. We know there are some sports that just aren't available, apologies to all the NHL fans out there, maybe one day we'll get an EA ice hockey game.

We hope you enjoyed our list. Stay on top of our website to stay fully inside the world of games. Take care and until next time!
