Call of Duty: Mobile

Price: Free to play

Call of Duty: Mobile was our pick for the best Android game of 2019. We usually wait a bit before adding a game, but Call of Duty: Mobile is so popular with such a high rating that we added it faster than usual.

The game has a regular FPS online PvP mode and a 100 player battle royale. This puts him in a rare category where he does battle royale like PUBG Mobile, but also regular PvP FPS like Critical Ops or Modern Combat. There is a surprising amount of things to do.

Genshin impact

Price: Free to play

Genshin Impact is an action roleplaying game with gacha mechanics. The game was also our pick for the best game of 2020. It received wide critical acclaim upon its release for its stunning visuals and excellent gameplay. He looks and acts a bit like Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but no one really seems to care.

The game has a party system and you summon new characters through a gacha system similar to other gachas. However, the visuals, game mechanics, and completely open world (complete with glider) make the game much less restrictive than most in the genre.

Unless the developer messes this up, it should remain excellent for a long time.

ATP Challenger Tour

Price: Payment

GRID Autosport was released in 2019 and immediately became one of the best racing games for Android. It's a premium game with no in-app purchases or advertising, a rarity in this space.

The game also has excellent graphics, excellent controls, hardware controller support, tons of content to play with, tons of cars to unlock, and a variety of racing styles.

The game is a bit pricey and is missing a few minor things that racing fanatics tend to like, but other than that it's one of the best racing experiences on the Play Store. It's not updated often, which isn't ideal, but it's enough to keep you relevant. Riptide GP and the Asphalt series are also great racing games.

League of Legends: Wild Rift

Price: Free to play

League of Legends: Wild Rift is a 5v5 MOBA game. Mobile used to have a ton of them, but various types of downfall in recent years. League of Legends: Wild Rift is without a doubt the best of the bunch right now. Matches take around 15-20 minutes and that's a bit long for a mobile MOBA.

However, the game is fun, you can't buy wins, and the developers seem committed to making sure this one stays balanced.

It `s not perfect. Casual games sometimes have unbalanced teams, which can be frustrating. However, there is not much that can be done about it. This is a rock solid MOBA in a genre where nothing has been consistent for a few years now.

Legends of Runeterra

Price: Free to play

Legends of Runeterra is one of the latest Android games on this list. It is an online fighter similar in scope to games like Hearthstone. Players collect cards and heroes and then build decks with those cards and heroes. Then you face opponents online.

The game removes as much randomness as possible and leads to an overall good gaming experience. The game includes 24 champions, a bunch of cards, and you can also invite friends to duel with you. Hearthstone has stuck with this roster for a long time, but it's time for a new champion in this space.

Head Level

Price: Payment

Levelhead is a new platformer from Butterscotch Shenanigans, the same developer as Crashlands. Crashlands has been on this same list for a good two or three years, and we hope Levelhead will be here for a while too.

It's a platformer with 90 levels, surprisingly satisfying controls, and great humor. However, this one sets itself apart from the others with its truly excellent custom level building. Players can build levels and upload them to the game. Other players download them and the most popular ones go to the prestigious game vault.

Also, the game has speedrunning features and each level comes with its own leaderboard (even custom ones). Finally, the game is cross-platform with cloud save. Covers all the bases for a mobile platformer. Really, this game is so good. It's also free with Google Play Pass if you use it.

Minecraft

Minecraft is a popular game all over the world for people of all ages. For those who have never played, Minecraft puts you in a giant world where you mine things, build things, defeat the bad guys and do pretty much whatever you want.

Nintendo added Dragalia Lost to its repertoire in September 2018, as well as Dr. Mario World in 2019. Finally, Mario Kart Tour is the second biggest mobile game release of all time, second only to Call of Duty: Mobile.

Nintendo's games can be a little rough at times, but they all provide relatively fun and solid experiences.

Pokémon Go

Price: free pair

Pokémon GO exploded onto the mobile gaming scene in July 2016 and immediately became one of the best Android games of all time. It's an augmented reality game similar to Ingress, where you roam the real world, catch Pokemon, complete small side quests, fight through gyms, and hit Pokestops to replenish items. It has broken virtually every record in history as the most popular mobile game in the world.

Fortunately, the game gets frequent updates with new features. Some newer features include an AR camera mode, new Pokemon, and a bunch of other cool stuff.

Niantic also released Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, a Harry Potter AR game with similar mechanics. The two games are alone at the top of the best mobile augmented reality games.

PUBG: New State

Price: Free to play

PUBG: New State hit the mobile gaming world like a rock and racked up well over ten million installs in less than a month. It is the spiritual sequel to PUBG Mobile (Google Play). This version includes extra mechanics like dodging, slightly better graphics, new vehicles and much more.

The game takes place ten years after the events of the first game. Basically, it's basically the same general idea. You join the parachute game with 99 other players and fight until only one is left standing. It's a little difficult since it's so new, but PUBG Mobile was, too, and has been on this list for years.

Fortnite is another excellent option, but you have to skip ahead to install it. PUBG: New State will release in November 2021, so this is another option for PUBG fans. Of course, here are some other satisfying Battle Royale options as well.

Sky: Children of Light

Price: Free to play

Sky: Children of Light is an excellent adventure game of 2020. The game features seven worlds for you to explore, a variety of character customizations to look just the way you want, some really great graphics, and one of the most unique social experiences in any game. match.

You can interact with players in-game without a voice or text chat (although text chats are available). Players get your attention to get you where you need to go by grabbing your hand and taking you with them. It's absurdly adorable, but Sky: Child of Light is just something different.
