Hi! Welcome to another article on the Gamer Portal. Today we will talk all about the items in the new set of TeamFight Tactics: Contestation. No fuss, let's get started!

If you were a casual TeamFight Tactics player or ever played the game up to patch 4.5, you'll notice that in addition to the changes to classes, origins, and champions, there have also been changes to in-game items. Not only the balance and class items, but also the attributes of the base items and, in addition, the emergence of dark items.



Update of base items

First, let's talk about the base items in the game, which have received a reduction in their stats. We'll talk about each of the items below, as well as show you the new item art.

– Sword GpC – Attack Damage: 15 ⇒ 10

- Recurve Bow - Attack Speed: 15% ⇒ 10%

– Needlessly Large Rod – Ability Power: 15 ⇒ 10

– Chain Vest – Armor: 25 ⇒ 20

– Megatron Cloak – Magic Resistance: 25 ⇒ 20

– Giant's Belt – Health: 200 ⇒ 150


– Boxer's Gloves – Critical Hit Chance: 10% ⇒ 5%


Note: As a consequence of the base items having suffered attributes reduction, the complete items also suffered this reduction. Some complete items made with Boxer's Gloves lost 5% Evasion.

Infinity Edge hasn't lost 5% Critical Strike Chance as Riot wants it to continue granting 100% Critical Strike Chance.

Below you can see all the updates that the complete items have undergone.

  • The following items are now Unique (stacking multiple does not work): Claw Trap, Sunfire Cloak, Guardian Angel, and Frozen Heart.
  • Bloodthirsty – NEW EFFECT: The first time the user drops below 40% Health, they will receive a shield equivalent to 30% of their maximum Health for 5s. Still grants Lifesteal.
  • Dragon's Claw – REFORMED: Grants 200 additional Magic Resist (including components).
  • Frozen Heart – Attack Speed ​​reduction: 50% ⇒ 35%
  • Frozen Heart – range: 1 house ⇒ 2 houses
  • Gargolith Plate – Armor and Magic Resist per enemy: 20 ⇒ 18
  • Hand of Justice: Now grants +40 Attack Damage and Ability Power instead of +40% increased damage.
  • Luden's Echo ⇒ Archangel's Staff
  • Archangel's Staff (Luden's Echo REPLACEMENT): User gains Ability Power equal to 35% of their maximum Mana each time they cast their ability.
  • Mercury – Crowd Control Immunity shield duration: 10s ⇒ 12s
  • Smoking Cannon – Bonus Attack Range: +200% ⇒ +1 house
  • Smoking Cannon – Attack Speed: 20% ⇒ 40%, a big compensation for the loss of Attack Range.
  • Redemption – REFORMED: User radiates an aura to allies within 1 house, healing them for 25% of their lost Health every 5s. Affected allies take 40% reduced damage from AoE attacks.
  • Morellonomicon – Heal reduction: 75% ⇒ 50%
  • Runaan's Hurricane – Projectile Damage: 80% ⇒ 75% Attack Damage
  • Shojin's Spear now grants Mana on attack rather than on hit, eliminating the synergy with Runaan's Hurricane.
  • Shojin's Spear – Mana per attack: 5 ⇒ 8
  • Statikk Knife no longer deals Critical Hits.
  • Statikk Knife – Spell Resistance Fragment: Critical Hits ⇒ on contact
  • Statikk Knife - Spell Resistance Fragment: 60% ⇒ 70%
  • Statikk Knife – Spell Resistance Fragment: 6s ⇒ 5s
  • Statikk Knife's trigger damage is now 70.
  • Stacks of Titanic Resolve now increase Attack Damage and Ability Power by 2 instead of increasing damage by 2%.
  • Zeke's Herald – Attack Speed: 30% ⇒ 25%
  • Zephyr now ignores CG immunity effects (eg Quicksilver and Evergreens).
  • Zz'rot's Portal: The taunt now happens immediately. Taunt is an instant effect that no longer forces provoked enemies to chase the target for 1s. Instead, enemies can target other units once if they move out of range.
  • Portal of Zz'rot: Health and Attack Damage now scale based on the current stage (maximum at Stage 5), not the user's star level.
  • Summoned Units (Monstrosity of the Abomination) will not spawn a Void Creature in 11.9. It will be different in future updates, but at a reduced capacity. This was needed as a temporary fix for a balancing issue that surfaced on the PBE. This applies to Zz'Rot and its Shadow counterpart.

Dark Items

The main change regarding in-game items in the new set was the release of dark items. Dark items consist of increasing the attributes of the item's main effect, but this increase will have a consequence for the item's user.



To craft a dark item, the player will need at least one of the base dark items. Below you can find out all about the new items.

Sacrificial Infinity Edge

Grants 75% Critical Hit Chance (including components). Every point of Critical Hit Chance above 100% becomes +1% Critical Hit Damage. User also takes 30% Critical Hit Damage. Whenever the user lands a Critical Hit, they deal 3% of their maximum Life to themselves as True Damage.

Items Required: Boxer's Gloves and GpC Sword

Cloak of Darkness Immobility

At the start of combat, the user hurls a beam back and forth that delays the first cast of affected enemies and allies, increasing their maximum Mana by 65% ​​until cast.

Items Required: Chain Vest and Boxer's Gloves

Rogue's Gloves

At the beginning of each Planning Phase, the user equips 2 temporary items that will always be full Dark Items.

Vengeful Claw Trap

Blocks the first enemy skill that hits the user, then teleports them to the skill's caster and causes both units to start fighting each other. They deal 25% increased damage to each other.

Caustic Mercury

User is immune to Crowd Control throughout combat and takes -20% to max Health.

When the user critically strikes, both the target's Armor and Magic Resist are reduced by 50% for 5s. The wearer's Armor and Magic Resistance are permanently reduced by 25%.

Sacrificial Gauntlet

The magic damage and true damage of the user's skill can critically strike. User gains +40% Critical Hit Damage and 20% Critical Hit Chance. After casting his ability, he will lose 15% of his maximum Health.

Items Needed: Boxer's Gloves and Unnecessarily Large Stick

Hand of Vengeance

At the start of combat, the user gains:

+40 Attack Damage and +40 Ability Power.

Basic attacks and abilities heal the user for 40% of the damage dealt.

These effects expire after each elimination and renew on the next one.

Items Required: Boxer's Gloves and Tear

Spectral Shojin Spear

User's attacks restore 14 Mana on hit. User deals 20% less damage.

Items Required: Tear and Sword GpC

Frozen Heart of Darkness

Items Needed: Reduces the Attack Speed ​​of all enemies within 2 squares by 50%. The Attack Speed ​​of allies (with the exception of the user) within 1 house is reduced by 50%.

Sacrificial Redemption

User radiates an aura to all allies on the board (not applicable to self) and heals them for 20% of their lost Health every 5s. Each time this happens, the user deals 10% of their current Health as True Damage to themselves.

Items Required: Giant's Tear and Belt

Chalice of Malice

At the start of combat, all of the user's allies within 1 house in the same row gain 45 Ability Power for the rest of the combat. User loses 20 Ability Power instead of gaining.

Items Required: Teardrop and Dark Negatron Cloak

Punhal de Statikk

Every two attacks, the user unleashes a chain of lightning that strikes 4 enemies, dealing 70 magic damage and reducing their magic resistance by 70% for 5s. User takes -33% Attack Damage.

Items Needed: Teardrop and Recurve Bow

Staff of the Archfiend of Immortality

The user's max Health is increased by 300% of their max Mana each time they cast the skill. It then heals itself based on the maximum Health gained from casting the skill.

Items needed: Tear and Needlessly Large Rod

Very Dark Blue Effect

After casting the skill, the user gains 15 Mana. If the user has less than 60% Health, the effect will increase to 50.

Hextech Blade Pistol of Immortality

The magic damage and true damage of the user's abilities heal the nearest ally who has lost Health for 60% of the damage dealt. Healing cannot be applied to the user.

Silver Lunari Medallion

At the start of combat, the wearer and all allies within 2 squares of the same row gain an additional 60 Armor and Magic Resist, but gain 5 less Mana per attack.

Mallignomicon

When the user deals magic damage with their ability, they burn the target, dealing 100% of the target's maximum Health as True Damage over 25s and reducing healing effects by 50% while the burn persists. User deals 50% less damage.

Ionic Spark of Darkness

Enemies and allies within 2 squares are electrocuted when casting an ability, taking magic damage that scales with their maximum Mana. Enemies suffer 200% of their maximum Mana and allies suffer 100% of their maximum Mana. Whenever an ally or enemy is electrocuted, the user gains 5 Ability Power for the remainder of combat.

Sacrificial Guinsoo's Blade of Fury

Attacks grant +9% bonus Attack Speed ​​for the rest of combat. There is no stack limit for this effect. The user takes true damage equal to 2,5% of their maximum Health with each attack.

Capuz da Morte of Caustic Rabadon

Grants 100 additional Ability Power (including components) and -20% to max Health.

Items Needed: Needlessly Large Rod and Unnecessarily Large Rod

Caustic Deadly Blade

Contributing to a kill grants the user +15 Attack Damage for the rest of combat. There is no stack limit for this effect (starting at 3). User gains -20% to maximum Health.

Items Required: GpC Sword and GpC Sword

Prevents the user's first kill by putting them in Stasis. After 2s, he returns with 80% Health and free of any negative effects. After the effect is activated, the user's Attack Speed ​​is reduced by 50% for the remainder of combat.

Zeke's Desolation Herald

At the start of combat, the user reduces the Attack Speed ​​of all allies within 1 square on the same line by -25%. User gains 40% Attack Speed ​​for each affected ally.

Items Required: GpC Sword and Giant's Belt

Thirsty for Risks

Physical Damage heals the user for 40% of the damage dealt. Whenever user heals for 90% Health, they gain 30% Attack Speed ​​for 3s (does not stack). User suffers 33% of their maximum Health as True Damage at the start of combat.

Items Required: GpC Sword and Negatron Cloak

Evil Giant Killer

User's skills and attacks deal 50% additional damage. If the target has less than 1.100 max Health, the user's skills and attacks will deal 15% reduced damage.

Items Required: GpC Sword and Recurve Bow

Titanic Revenge

Every 3s, the user's next basic attack deals 25% of the total damage taken since the last attack empowered as True Damage.

Items Needed: Recurve Bow and Chain Vest

Unstable Zz'rot Portal

When the user dies, a Construct with it will spawn to continue the fight. When he dies, he will deal 600 True Damage to enemies within 1 house.

Items needed: Giant's Belt and Recurve Bow

Runaan's Indomitable Hurricane

The user's attacks fire projectiles at 2 nearby enemies, dealing 50% of the user's Attack Damage. Projectiles can critically strike, but do not apply on-hit effects.

Items Needed: Recurve Bow and Negatron Cloak

Eclipse Layer

Every 1,5s, a random enemy within 3 squares is burned for 25% of their maximum Health over 10s. Any healing the target receives is reduced by 50%. The user is burned for 4% of their maximum Health every second and all healing received by the user is reduced by 50%.

Sacrificial Warmog Armor

Grants 1.800 additional Health (including components). User suffers 100 True Damage per second.

Items needed: Giant's Belt and Giant's Belt

turbulent zephyr

At the start of combat, the user summons a hurricane on the opposite side of the arena that removes the nearest enemy from combat for 8s. When the enemy rejoins the fight, they will take 30 Attack Damage and 30 Ability Power for the rest of the fight. Ignores immunity to GC.

Gargolith Plate of Immortality

User heals for 45 Health every 2s for each unit targeting them.

Items Required: Negatron Cloak and Chain Vest

Refracted Spiny Vest

Grants 200 additional Armor (including components).

Items needed: Chain mail and Chain mail

Refracted Dragon's Claw

Reduces magic damage taken by 15%.

Nullifies additional damage from Critical Hits taken.

Necromancer Cannon

Increases the user's Attack Range by 1 house. In addition, user gains +40% Attack Speed ​​bonus if there are no enemies within 2 squares.

User attacks can no longer miss.

Items with the Spatula

Another change that came with the new set was the increase in items that can be made with the Spatula. The player can now craft items for classes using dark items, which will result in new classes. See in the image below all the items and their respective classes.
