Red Solstice 2: Survivors, a strategy RPG where you fend off hordes of mutated enemies, is now available on Steam.
Not to be confused with Brown Solstice, which is when you don't bring enough portaloos to your pagan festival, Red Solstice 2 is a sequel to the original 2015 title. Like the original, it puts you in charge of a team of hardened soldiers and it's up to you to survive against dire odds.
Sounds familiar? Yes, Red Solstice 2 takes cues from James Cameron's Aliens, although in this case the dire decisions are up to you or, if you play co-op, you and your partner. Combat is real-time, though there's a great deal of strategy here, along with a handful of RPG elements the creators Ironward took pains to specify that this isn't a double-shooter.Read also

We took a look at the game last month and were under the impression that co-op is where the game would shine. So if you can get other players involved (the game supports up to seven), you have a chance. Or it can go terribly wrong when you can't decide how best to deal with the horde.
Red Solstice 2: Survivors is available now for PC, via the Steam Store, with a 10% discount running right now.
