Pokémon Go is full of different characters that have their own strengths and weaknesses. If you want to become the best, you'll need to know the game mechanics inside and out, starting from the type chart of all Pokémon and their resistances, strengths, weaknesses, and vulnerabilities.
Any Pokémon Trainer who has fought in Game Freak's monster battle series you will know that certain types have an advantage over others. For example, fire is strong against grass, psychic against combat, and electric against water. These are just a few examples of how type advantages work.
However, many coaches often overlook the full picture when it comes to type effectiveness. This is particularly true when Niantic add new creatures to Pokémon Go.
our chart Pokémon Go Type should help clear up any confusion and help you win more competitive battles in no time, especially with the Spotlight Hour event bringing different 'mon into the spotlight.

Pokémon Go-type effectiveness multiplier
The effectiveness of a Pokémon's movement depends entirely on the game itself. Type advantages in Pokémon Sword and Shield are generally more pronounced, with effective attacks being twice as strong.
Pokémon Go has a smaller multiplier when it comes to typing. However, that doesn't diminish the importance of selecting your Pokémon before a battle. You can gain a huge advantage if you are aware of the strengths and weaknesses of certain types.
List of Pokemon Go Multipliers
Os multipliers from Pokémon Go are as follows:
- Superfication against two types: 2,56x
- Attacks supereficazes : 1,6x
- Not very effective attacks: 0,625x
- It is not very effective against two types: 0,391x
Here is a match type visualization chart for all of these:

Another difference between Pokémon Go and other games is that various typifications further affect damage. If a species is weak to two of an opponent's types, the multiplier effect would be halved again, as seen by the 0,391 multipliers.
The same applies to a Pokémon being effective against both types of species. An example of this is an electric type versus Gyarados as it is dual water and flying type, two types that are weak against electricity.
Take the time to learn which Pokémon are strong and weak against other types can often give you the edge you need to swing even the toughest fights in your favor.
In addition, familiarize yourself with the types of Pokémon Go will help you in Raid Battles, while speeding up the process of acquiring the all-important PokeCoins.
