NIANTIC'S SUSTAINABILITY FOCUSED EVENT HAS APRIL 20-25 AND INTRODUCES ANOTHER NEW GEN 6 POKÉMON TO THE GAME.
The Pokémon Go Sustainability Week event will take place from April 20 to 25, developer Niantic announced. The event will feature more spawns of Poison, Grass, and other types of Pokemon, and you'll get your first chance to catch Shiny Trubbish and also the new Gen 6 monster, Binacle.
Throughout Sustainability Week, Grimer, Drilbur, Ferroseed, Trubbish, and other monsters will spawn in the wild more often than usual, while Diglett, Tangela, Goldeen, Budew, Cherubi, and Finneon will hatch more often from eggs of 5 km. The aforementioned Binacle will also appear as a Raid boss alongside Vileplume, Exeggutor, and other Pokémon.
In addition to increased Pokémon spawns, there will be new event-exclusive Field Research and Timed Tasks. Completing them will lead to encounters with Chespin, Cottonee, Binacle, and other monsters. Finally, Niantic is running a real-world sustainability campaign. If players of all Niantic games can work together to achieve sustainability-related goals, the studio will unlock various in-game bonuses. The following bonuses will be available in Pokémon Go on April 25 if objectives are met:
- Level 1 (2.500 activations) : Five star attacks will appear more often.
- Level 2 (5.000 activations) : A free pack containing three Remote Raid Passes will be available in the store. Tier 1 rewards will remain active.
- Level 3 (10.000 activations) : A 2 × Catch XP bonus will be available. Tier 1 and 2 rewards will remain active.

Meanwhile, the Pokémon Go's Rivals' Week event runs until April 18. As part of this event, Pokémon that have known rivalries, such as Zangoose and Seviper, are appearing more frequently.
