The newest event Pokémon GO, the event Luminous Legends Y, gives the leaders of the GO Rock Teamt new Pokemon teams, including Arlo.
The newest event Pokémon GO is the Luminous Legends Y event. This event serves as a sort of sequel to the event Luminous Legends X, which featured more Pokémon from the Kalos region, including the legendary Pokémon Xerneas.
In an unexpected turn of events, this event has a huge focus on players of Pokémon GO facing the various members of the GO Rocket Team. Because of this, both the various grunts and the leader trio have entirely new teams that players will encounter. Players will also be able to rescue new Shadow Pokémon from these battles.
As one of the leaders of GO Rocket Team , Arlo is among those with a new team. This means that players will need to form new strategies when it comes to countering their opponents. Pokémon, as they all still have weaknesses that can be exploited.
MEMBER OF THE FIRST PART – VENONAT

Arlo's first Pokémon will always be Venonat, a Bug- and Poison-type dual Pokémon. Due to this type, players can take advantage of its weakness to Fire, Flying, Rock, and Psychic type moves. It, however, also resists damage from Bug, Poison, Fairy, Fighting, and Grass-type moves.
Being the first member of Arlo's party, it will be the easiest to deal with. Still, the best Pokemon to take care of it quickly include:
Mewtwo – Confusion and Psystrike
Attack Form Deoxys – Zen Headbutt e Psycho Boost
Reshiram – Fangs of Fire and Overheat
Galarian darmanitan - Pray of ice and overheating
Chandelure – Fire Spin and Overheat
SECOND MEMBER – URSARING

There are three different Pokémon that Arlo can use as his second party member, with Ursaring being one of them. This Pokémon is a pure Normal-type, which makes it only weak to Fighting-type moves, but also makes it resist only Ghost-type moves. Fortunately, there are plenty of Pokémon that can easily counter Ursaring with some of the best:
Therian Thundurus – Thunder Shock and Focus Burst
Yveltal – Snarl and Focus Blast
pangoro – Low Kick e Close Combat
Therian Landorus - Extrasensorial and superpower
machamp – Counter and Dynamic Punch
SECOND MEMBER – CROBAT

Another Pokémon that Arlo can send in his second group slot is the Crobat. Crobat is a Poison and dual Flying-type Pokémon that is weak to Ice, Rock, Psychic, and Electric-type moves. Nonetheless. It also resists damage from Ground, Poison, Fairy, Fighting, Grass, and Bug-type moves.
While it might seem complicated to figure out which Pokémon is best to use against Crobat, its typing allows some Pokémon used against Venonat previously to also counter that Pokémon. Because of this, the best Pokemon to use against Crobat are:
Mewtwo – Confusion and Psystrike
Attack Form Deoxys – Zen Headbutt e Zap Cannon
Galarian darmanitan – Ice Fang e Avalanche
Thundurus Therian – Choque Thunder e Thunderbolt
Alakazam – Confusion and Psychic
SECOND MEMBER - MANECTRI

The last Pokémon that Arlo can use in his second slot is the Manectric. This Pokémon is a pure Electric-type, making it only weak to Ground-type moves, while also resisting Steel, Electric, and Flying-type moves.
Manectric can be difficult to deal with, despite not being Mega Evolve while being used by Arlo. However, as long as players have a Ground-type Pokémon or a Pokémon with Ground-type moves, Manectric can be a breeze in battle. The best Pokemon to use against Manectric are:

Therian Landorus – Mud shooting and earthquake
excadrill – Mud slap and earthquake
Groudon – Mud shooting and earthquake
Garchomp – Mud shooting and earthquake
Incarnate Landorus – Mud Shot e Earth Power
THIRD MEMBER - SCIZOR

Coming back from Arlo's previous lineup is Scizor. This Pokémon is a dual-Bug and a Steel-type, which makes it only weak to Fire moves. Defensively, however, it resists damage from Dragon, Ice, Psychic, Normal, Bug, Steel, Fairy, Grass, and Poison-type moves.
Because of Scizor's attack power and large amount of type resistances, it can completely decimate players' teams if they are not prepared. If players know that Arlo will use Scizor for battle, it is extremely important to have a fire type pokemon or a Pokémon that knows a Fire-type move. The best are:
Reshiram – Fangs of Fire and Overheat
Chandelure – Fire Spin and Overheat
darmanitan – Fangs of Fire and Overheat
Blaziken – Fire Spin e Blast Burn
Moltres – Spinning fire and overheating
THIRD MEMBER - MAGNEZONE

Another Pokémon that can serve as the ultimate challenge in the fight against Arlo is magnetone. It is a Pokémon dual Electric e Steel which is weak to blows like Ground, Fire e Fighting. Like Scizor, it also has a large number of resistances with it resisting damage from Dragon, Frost, Psychic, Electric, Normal, Grass, Bug, Stone, Fairy, Steel, Poison, and Flying-type moves.
While Magnezone can also be a big problem for unprepared players like with Scizor, luckily it has a few more weaknesses that can be exploited. Because of this, the best Pokemon to use against Magnezone are:
Therian Landorus – Mud shooting and earthquake
excadrill – Mud slap and earthquake
Groudon – Mud shooting and earthquake
Garchomp – Mud shooting and earthquake
Incarnate Landorus – Mud Shot e Earth Power
THIRD MEMBER - VILEPLUME

The last Pokemon that Arlo can use is Vilefeather, a dual type Pokémon Grass e Poison . Its typing makes it weak to Fire, Flying, Ice, and Psychic-type moves, while resisting damage from Fighting, Water, Electric, Fairy, and Grass moves.
A tendency with all three of Arlo's final Pokémon to take advantage of is that they all share a weakness to Fire-type moves. This makes having a Fire-type move user essential if players don't know what to expect from the last stage of the battle. If, however, players want a specific counter against Vileplume in battle, the best Pokemon for that fight would be:
Mewtwo – Confusion and Psystrike
Galarian darmanitan – Ice Fang e Avalanche
Attack Form Deoxys – Zen Headbutt e Psycho Boost
Reshiram – Fangs of Fire and Overheat
Chandelure – Fire Spin and Overheat
After defeating Arlo, players will have the opportunity to rescue a Shadow Venonat. While Arlo's Venonat always appears normal in battle against him, the Shadow Venonat available for rescue has the slightest chance of appearing glowing. The easiest way to recognize a glowing Venonat is by eye color, where a normal Venonat will have red eyes and a glowing Venonat will have blue eyes.
