The newest event Pokémon GO is the Luminous Legends Y event. This event serves as a sort of sequel to the event Luminous Legends X, which featured more Pokémon from the Kalos region, including the legendary Pokémon Xerneas.

In an unexpected turn of events, this event has a huge focus on players of Pokémon GO facing the various members of the GO Rocket Team.
