The Destiny Knot is one of many items kept in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl which returns from the original generation of four games. The original Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl introduced fans to as many new items as they did the new Pokémon.
The Destiny Knot was originally intended to be a single-purpose battle item. Thanks to the quality of life changes included in the pokemon BDSP , all trainers can take full advantage of the Destiny Knot from Pokémon Generation Six and beyond.
The original purpose of the Destiny Knot in Pokémon Diamond e Pearl it was simple and straightforward. If a Pokémon fell in love with an opponent in battle, the opponent's Destiny Knot would cause the lover to fall under the same effect.
The Attract and Cute Charm moves would make that passion happen. The Destiny Knot ensured that both Pokémon would fall under the influence of passion, regardless of whether it came from Attract or Cute Charm.
Em Pokémon X e pokemon y , the Destiny Knot received an update that allowed any Pokémon that held it to transmit five of its sixth IVs when mating with another Pokémon. This change was a big update to the crafting method available before, because there were items that could only guarantee one IV stat at a time, which would pass to the offspring.

How to Get Destiny Node in Pokémon BDSP
Players can obtain a Destiny Knot from Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl in two ways. The guaranteed way is to get the National Dex in Pokémon BDSP and then head to Route 224 via Victory Road. This path was previously blocked by an NPC and can be accessed more easily from the Elite Four side of Victory Road. The Destiny Knot is in the Poké Ball item next to the purple haired trainer on Route 224.
The second way to obtain a Destiny Knot is much less secure, but can be done long before players beat Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. First, trainers will have to catch a Pokemon with the Pick Up ability, such as Pachirisu or Teddiursa.
Then they'll have to make sure the Pokemon is level 21. The Pick Up skill allows the Pokemon to find random items outside of battle, and any Pokemon with that skill has a one percent chance of finding the Node of Destiny from level 21 to level 100.
It's a remote strategy for sure, but it's the only way to get the Destiny Knot before reaching Route 224 in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
