Outriders lets you choose from four powerful classes for your character after finishing the prologue; and of these, Malandro is one of the most popular. Outstanding in close-range skirmishes and extreme damage spikes, there are plenty of excellent tools for creating a super-powered Trickster.
Our best Trickster Outriders build guide will guide it through two top-level Trickster builds: one for solo play and one for end-game and dedicated co-op. Both offer quite different playstyles, but each will make you an almost unstoppable force of nature.
BEST SOLO BUILD BY TRICKSTER
This shotgun damage build is absolutely the best solo Trickster build we've found in Outriders. This build makes you provide constant critical hits for mind-numbing damage amounts, no matter your world level or challenge level.
For this build you will use Hunt The Prey, Venator’s Knife e Twisted Rounds . The latter two are needed to hit god levels of damage with each shot, while Hunt The Prey is needed to keep you mobile, putting you in and out of harm's way and giving you some very important buffs along the way.
BUILD SOLO DE TRICKSTER: SKIL TREE
This build leans heavily towards the Assassin branch of the Trickster skill tree, helping you deal maximum damage at point-blank range with shotguns. Take a look at the diagram below to see where you should invest your class points:
TRICKSTER SOIL BUILD: EQUIPMENT AND MODS
There are three pieces of gear that build absolutely vital to this solo Trickster build:
- Blessing of Enoch , Legendary Pump Action Shotgun (Gravedigger's Fury: Critical shots increase your Critical Damage by 50% for 5s, 10s cooldown)
- The High Roller , Legendary Pump Action Shotgun (Embalmer's Rage: for 5s after a kill shot, all shots following will be critical shots, 4s cool down)
- Ugake Otarah's Hood , Legendary Helmet (Instant Reload: Hunt The Prey – teleport instantly replenishes the magazine on your current weapon)
After that, I would fill up about half of my other mod slots for my weapons and armor with extreme damage boost mods like Killing Spree, Sharp Eye, and so on; and the other half with survival modes such as Death Mitigation and Emergency Position.
This is a fantastic build for solo players, even late in the game, but since it relies so heavily on deadly shots, you need to be able to kill a single shot.
For this reason, it's not the best for co-op, because the difficulty of climbing means you won't be able to kill a single shot anymore. If you want a strong multiplayer build, take a look at the next section of this guide.

BEST END-GAME BUILD TRICKSTER
For a more complete endgame Trickster build, we've come up with the following setup, based on YouTuber NorZZa's build featured in the video above.
This build revolves around using assault weapons (ARs, SMGs, LMGs, dual weapons) instead of shotguns, and makes use of similar skills and mods, but a totally different path up the Trickster skill tree than the Trickster version. previous.
The three skills required for this build are Twisted Rounds, Venator's Knife and Borrowed Time . Again Twisted Rounds and Venator's Knife are for pure damage boosts, while Borrowed Time makes you much more tanky, allowing you to get up close and personal without fear of reprisals from powerful enemies.
END-GAME BUILD TRICKSTER: SKILL TREE
This Trickster build forgoes the Killer path, which increases damage, in favor of the Reaver path, which dramatically increases the benefits of its three abilities.
This path still keeps his damage surprisingly high thanks to his near-constant use of Twisted Rounds and Venator's Knife. The diagram below shows which nodes you need to choose for this endgame build:
END-GAME BUILD TRICKSTER: EQUIPMENT AND MOS
Here are the best gear and mods to use with this endgame version of Trickster:
- Amber Vault, Legendary Double Gun (Killing Spree: Killing Shot increases damage by 30% for this weapon for 30 seconds. Bonus deteriorates over time and stacks up to 5 kills.)
- Anomaly's Visage, Legendary Headgear (Anomaly Echo: Grants firepower and bonus anomaly power on skill activation for a short time.)
- Lesser Cronosuit, Legendary Lesser Armor (Ammo Bargain: Twisted Rounds - While the skill is active, killer shots replenish 20% of the ammo in your magazine)
It's also extremely feasible to don the entire Chronosuit armor set and earn the set bonus of replenishing your ammo by reversing time with Borrowed Time. But it's not entirely necessary, and I love using Anomaly's Visage to increase damage potential.
Also, some very potent mods for your other slots include Blue Blood for the added weapon leech, Captain Hunter to help you deal with elites, and Additional Mag, which acts as insurance in case you run out of ammo in your magazine.
