Here's everything we know about this intriguing hero-based battle royale.

Naraka: Bladepoint is an intriguing take on the genre Battle Royale. While there is a lot of familiarity and similar features between it and the likes of Fortnite, Call of Duty: War zone ou Apex Legends, it takes many of its rivals' best features and fuses them into a BR where melee and movement are at the heart of the game.

It was one of the most talked about games in the E3 2021 and, despite not being released yet, it has already reached an impressive number of players on Steam thanks to a successful open beta.

In its Spring 2021 beta, over a million individual players have tested the Naraka: Bladepoint, with a maximum player count of 148.000 recorded at one point.

The combat style, character and skill customization options, all within one of the most popular game genres, means there are plenty of people interested in learning more about Naraka: Bladepoint.

And that's why we're here, to bring all the information together in one accessible place. From its release date, to its gameplay, to what its character roster can do, here's everything we know about Naraka: Bladepoint.

NARAKA: BLADEPOINT GAMEPLAY

We've seen plenty of Naraka: Bladepoint games already, thanks to screenshots captured from its open beta and trailers.

Gameplay revolves around a melee-focused combat system, but players can go into battle with one of six (potentially more at launch) individual characters, each with specific skill sets. While melee weapons such as swords are common, there are some ranged weapons in the form of handguns or bows.

Lobbies are made up of 60 players. Most of the footage we found shows teams of three, but there will also be a solos mode. These are the only modes we've seen so far, and it's unclear whether duo, quad, or other team sizes will be available at launch or in the future.

Unlike many battle royales, you don't fall on the map Naraka: Bladepoint (more on the map in a bit), but instead you pick a grid slot before the game starts and spawn at that spot.

Interestingly, you can also see which grid squares other teams are planning to spawn on as well, which will add another strategic layer.

Movement in this game is also a big factor. You can climb and hang from virtually any surface or structure, and there's also a hook to help you get around faster.

In addition, you can expect to find the usual characteristics of a Battle Royale, an ever-closed circle known as the Shadow, some important POIs on the map, loot, some bounty missions from Warzone that you can pick up and complete, and more.

NARAKA: BLADEPOINT RELEASE DATE

Naraka: Bladpoint will be released on August 12 . It will only be released on PC, via Steam and the Epic Games Store, but a console release may come later.

NARAKA: BLADEPOINT BETA

Naraka: Bladepoint has already had a handful of successful betas, and its last one before launch is slated for June 16. It will run until June 22nd and will be available via Steam.

NARAKA: BLADEPOINT CONSOLE

Naraka: Bladepoint will not be releasing on consoles right away and will be exclusive to PC at launch. However, developer NetEase Games tweeted in 2020 that the console's release would be "someday, not too far off" from its PC release.

NARAKA:BLADEPOINT CHARACTERS

So far, six characters, or 'heroes', are playable in Naraka: Bladepoint, according to its latest beta in April 2021.

The confirmed characters for Naraka: Bladepoint are:
