The Ultimate Guide to Making Money Fast in GTA Online so you can live the high life.
Jump to online mode Grand Theft Auto 5 can be a little overwhelming these days. From the moment you complete the in-game tutorial, you are inundated with text messages and phone calls from NPC's asking you to run errands at Los Santos, while more experienced players, with tanks and flying motorcycles, chase you like prey. But how do you get to this point of pointless vandalism? Making money, of course.
But it's not that simple. GTA Online offers many different ways for players to spend their hard earned money whether it be on new vehicles, weapons, buildings or recovering from their archenemy, so earning enough of the green stuff can be quite tricky for newcomers.
So if you're frantically searching for an answer to 'how do you make money in GTA 5 online?', We help you. Read on for information on how to turn the dust in your wallet into something a little more useful and you'll have a great experience covering the The Diamond Casino & Resort in a blink of an eye.
HOW TO MAKE MONEY IN GTA 5 ONLINE
There's no set way to play GTA Online and so there's also no set way to stack paper in the game, but there are some obvious places to start. By following this guide, which increases the upfront and difficult costs, you will soon be making money.
If you're a new player, you'll be bombarded with texts from a guy named Maude - but unlike the others, his texts are worth paying attention to.
Maude will text you with information about some NPCs he needs to be dead or alive, so put on your cowboy hat and go hunting. You'll get a big dollar for capturing said target (especially if he's alive) and handing him over to Maude. Combine these quests with treasure hunt quests and you have $ 500.000 in your bank account in no time.
SPIN THE CASINO WHEEL
If you really believe that Lady Luck is on your side, you should go to the casino to spin the Wheel of Fortune. This can be done every day, giving you a chance to win cash, chips, cars, and more.
It's free and easy, what's not to love?
AGAINST THE CLOCK
Imagine yourself as a great getaway driver? Put those skills to the test in the game's time trials. Every Thursday, the Rockstar updates the road and RC timers on offer and if you beat the ideal time you could win $ 100.000 with just two minutes of running. That's $200.000 for just two races. Not bad, huh?
Of course, trials vary in difficulty from week to week, and you'll want to spend some of that money upgrading your vehicles for the best possible chance of setting new course records.
Just like the time trials, every week Rockstar will launch a new mode for the spotlight and give double, possibly even triple, RP and cash. Often these events are either Adversaries or Races, so the amount of money you earn depends on your placement, but they can be easy ways to make some quick cash.
Team up with friends and, well, you'll make money.

This one is pretty self-explanatory, but every day you'll have loads of new quests to complete. They are simple to fill and you will win $ 25.000 for doing all three. Do this consistently over time and the Rockstar will reward you. You receive $ 100.000 for one week and $ 500.000 for a month's worth of work.
If you really want to make a lot of money, you're going to want to complete the heists of the GTA Online. While hosting heists requires you to shoulder some of the costs yourself, teaming up with a friend who has a fancy apartment – or even a random player via Quick Jobs, it can earn you a decent amount of money in a short span of time.
Heists vary in difficulty depending on the approach chosen by the host, but if your part is good, you could walk away with a few hundred thousand dollars for ruining someone's day.
If you want to get a bigger slice of the pie, in level 12, guests US $ 200.000 in a luxury apartment. From there, you can start hosting them. We recommend starting with five-base strikes before moving on to the Doomsday, Diamond Casino and the robberies of Cayo Perico. While the latter offer much more, basic strikes are a good way to tackle these complex missions, increasing the chance of success later on.
It is also important to note that for some robberies, communication is required. You will need to eliminate guards silently and simultaneously and swipe key cards at the same time in some cases. Playing with friends is therefore best if you want to fly under the radar undetected.
If you've followed our suggestions so far, you'll no doubt have a decent amount of money in your pocket. Now the fun begins.
Between heists, you should think about carrying out cargo missions. To do this, though, you'll need a Executive Office (something that is free with the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack) and a warehouse.
Once you have all this up and running, you can start stealing goods (carros, weapons, drugs) throughout Los Santos and take them back to your warehouse to sell on the black market.
It might sound simple, but be warned: cargo trips are done in a public concourse, so you'll need to navigate the masses as they come with all weapons drawn.
Return to the deposit unharmed, however, and you will earn a good amount of money, about $200.000 per hour. Vehicle and air cargo missions are a little greener, but you'll need a garage and a hangar for them and, well, they're expensive.
In between all this, you can do quests VIP and Headhunter, sightseer e Hostile Takeover through its interactions menu that you can use to supplement your income.
Once you're comfortable with the amount of GTA cash in your back pocket, you'll want to start thinking about passive income. That's right, between stealing cars, robbing casinos and paying for people's personal insurance, you can make money doing awkward squats. Say hello to the arms trade of the GTA Online and the cocaine business.
If you want to earn approx. US $ 80.000 per hour doing very little, buy a bunker or motorcycle club. By buying (or stealing) supplies, your worker bees will turn that into a product (weapons or cocaine, depending on the business you've chosen) that you can sell for a profit.
When you agree to the sale, you will need to transport the product to the buyer, but this is almost the same involvement as there is in the arms and cocaine trade. Just make sure you don't hold on to your stash too long, or you'll find yourself facing more complicated sales missions.
And that's our guide on how to make money on GTA 5 online. Of course, as you play more and more roles, you'll be able to choose what you want to do on the streets of Los Santos. But if you're broke and need help, this is a good place to start.
