Fortnite rarely has audio issues, but gamers using Xbox consoles have reported major audio issues that make the game basically unplayable. The good news is that there is nothing wrong with your Xbox. The bad news is that there is no easy way to solve the problem other than waiting.

The official Fortnite Status Twitter account acknowledged the issue in a tweet (seen below) and announced that it is working on a fix. However, there is no way to resolve the issue until this fix arrives.

Some players suggest that there are some basic troubleshooting options that can help. One option is to leave the match and rejoin the queue. Another option is to force Fortnite to shut down and restart or restart the entire console. However, this seems to temporarily fix the problem as the audio glitch can happen again once you start the next match.

For the most part, it doesn't seem to be an issue for all players and can usually be worked around by restarting (albeit temporarily). For those affected – as of now, it seems the only way to fix the audio issue is to wait.
