A NEW JOB LIST IS LOOKING FOR A CONCEPTUAL ARTIST SPECIALIZED IN FANTASTIC ART

The list, looking for a Senior Character Concept Artist , claims the role is necessary "for the development of a new unannounced title".

Among the various responsibilities listed, one reads: "Develop and maintain strong creative and collaborative partnerships in all areas to help further develop the game's characters, visual language and rulesets for fantasy-based worlds."

Meanwhile, one of the job requirements involves “strong design skills with the ability to render realistic and believable fantasy-based characters, creatures and props using contemporary industry standard tools and techniques.”

The studio first announced in January that it was hiring an art director for an as-yet-unannounced game, and last month job listings for more roles began to appear.

O Santa Monica Studio is currently working on a new God of War, the continuation of the action-adventure game exclusive to PS4 of 2018 .

Unlike previous entries in the long-running series, which were inspired by Greek mythology, God of War it is loosely based on Norse mythology.

The series reboot was a critical and commercial success, winning multiple Game of the Year awards and selling over 10 million copies.

Its sequel was announced through a brief teaser last September for release on PS5 in 2021, though nothing more has been heard of the project since.

PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan declined to comment last year if God of War Ragnarok will be released for PS4 and also PS5.
