Learn how to obtain the Season of the Splicer ritual weapon and its three unique ornaments.

Destiny 2 brings a new ritual weapon each season. These weapons come with a set roll, allowing you to choose between one of two perks in the last two columns. These weapons are often very powerful and break the mold of your archetype.

Null Composure is the Season of the Splicer's ritual weapon, and is effectively a re-release of Loaded QuestionTo Fusion Rifle fan favorite of Forsaken. This Fusion Rifle ritual comes with Reservoir Burst, a perk that causes enemies killed in the first round in your magazine to violently explode. If you want to get your hands on this deadly weapon, you must first complete a quest.

Talk to the Banshee-44 in the Tower to take this quest. It will be the first quest he will give you, the second quest being linked to Armor Synthesis. Here's what the quest requires:

A Holy Fusion

  • Earn 8.500 points defeating enemies in playlist activities. Earn bonus points by defeating targets with Fusion Rifles, solar damage, disintegrations, or defeating Guardians using Stasis.
  • Complete 100 activities . Playlist activities ensure more progress.

Despite the massive need for points, you don't need to kill 8.500 enemies for this step. You can earn more points by meeting the following criteria:

  • Defeat enemies with a Fusion Rifle.
  • Defeat enemies with solar damage.
  • Disintegrate enemies (Fusions, Linear Fusions and certain abilities do this).
  • Use a subclass of Stasis.

The more criteria you can meet, the faster this part will be.

You have a few options to do this quickly. If you play PvE, you can use Cartesian Coordinates or Trinary System in attacks to rack up a ton of points. If you love playing PvP, use Jotunn and jump into Control or Rumble.

Activity Conclusions

This objective is misleading. Despite its high requirement of 100, playlist activities are actually worth around 3-5 points. Gambit seems to be the fastest way to do this. A win will grant you about 5% progress. Considering how fast Gambit games are, this is a reasonable way to finish this objective quickly.

If you can't stand Gambit, attacks are a great alternative. You can queue for a single attack for this objective, so performing the Shadow Lake attack on the EDZ is not a bad idea.

A Sacred Fusion: Step 2

  • Talk to Banshee-44

Once you've completed enough activities and killed enough enemies, you'll be able to claim Bashee-44's Null Composure in the Tower. This completes the main quest, though there are three optional quests that grant unique ornaments for Null Composure when completed – each linked to a ritual playlist.

the ornament Vanguard to Null Composure, Called Coordinated Offensive, it is quite easy to obtain. As long as you're in a clan, this shouldn't take more than a few hits to complete. Speak with Zavala after these steps to claim your ornament.

Vanguard Garments

  • Complete 3 Nightfall attacks.
  • Eliminate 250 combatants with Fusion Rifles and Solar Weapons.

Both objectives gain bonus progress as you play with clanmates.

Only three Nightfalls need to be completed for this objective. They can be in any difficulty. The Adept and Hero difficulty modes are recommended as they each allow for combo and have minimal modifiers.

Eliminate The Fighters

You can accelerate this objective using a Solar Fusion Rifle. Good options include Exile's Curse, Trinary System, Merciless, and Jotunn. Again, playing any Strike or Nightfall with Clanmates will grant additional progress.

Lord Shaxx is more than eager to give Null Composure a PvP ornament, but you need to earn it. Kill with Fusion Rifles in PvP and increase your Valor rank to earn the ornament Hell Heraldy. Speak with Shaxx when you've completed both objectives to claim your new weapon ornament.

the red hat

  • Defeat 100 Guardians with Fusion Rifles or Solar damage.
  • Earn 3 Valor ranks.

Defeat Guardians

Jotunn is your best bet to complete this. Stick to long lines of sight on maps, then shoot any enemies that try to push you back. Since the Jotunn is a Solar Fusion Rifle, this will make this step much faster.

Earn Value Ranks

Subranks count  for this purpose. Raising one split level is all you need to complete this quest step. Win Streaks It will make this part go by much faster.

The best way to increase your winning streak is to play PvP with a pre-formed squad. If you can't but are good at killing other Guardians, try the Rumble playlist.

win the ornament Gambit to Null Composure, known in the game as Smith’s Touchmark, will require you to kill some Fusion Rifles. O Drifter will give you the ornament when the mission Primeval Patina is completed.

primitive patina

  • Kill 250.000 enemies with Fusion Rifles or Solar damage.
  • Complete 7 Gambit matches.

Gambit Kills

That first goal isn't a typo: it's actually 250.000 deaths. Fortunately, this has been confirmed as a bug. At the time of writing, we do not recommend that you attempt to earn this ornament until Bungie releases a hotfix that lowers the scavenging requirement to (probably) 2.500.

Once that objective is complete, your best bet is to use Exile’s Curse, Trinary Force, merciless ou Jotunn to destroy a ton of multidrops with your Fusion Rifle. Multiple kills contribute more progress so consider running ammo mods Fusion Rifle into his armor to make his Fusion Rifle an improvised primary weapon.

Complete Gambit Games

This objective should not take as long as the first objective. Win Streaks guarantees more progress , so consider getting a team together before joining the playlist of Gambit. If you can coordinate with a team, you have a much better chance of winning.

If you're a solo player, your best chance of winning Gambit matches is to raid. Invasions can rock entire games, and the team that invades first usually wins. use Jotunn if opting for the invader roll, allowing you to hit enemies across the map with a projectile-tracking Fusion Rifle.
