It's been over six months since Cyberpunk 2077 was de-listed and removed from the PlayStation Store. But CD Projekt Red has announced that its sci-fi RPG will return to the PlayStation digital store on June 21, 2021.
CD Projekt Red announced Cyberpunk 2077's return to the PlayStation Store in an official press release, but did not offer any comment to IGN other than this public statement.
When Cyberpunk 2077 was released in December 2020, the base console versions of the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One suffered from severe performance issues. As a result, PlayStation announced that it would withdraw Cyberpunk 2077 from its digital storefront on December 17, 2020.
Additionally, CD Projekt Red has announced a comprehensive refund program, promising to honor a full refund to anyone dissatisfied with Cyberpunk 2077. According to CD Projekt, the company has issued around 30.000 refunds and during a financial briefing said the Cyberpunk 2077's removal from the PlayStation "influenced" its sales, including on other platforms.
