🕹Builds and Runes: Kennen Champion's Guide

Kennen is a champion mage. His abilities allow the champion to deal a large amount of AoE damage while also applying crowd control over his foes. Due to this potential, the champion is very powerful in team fights. Typically, this champion is used in the top lane.

Champion Description

“More than a lightning-fast protector of the Ionian balance, Kennen is the only yordle member of the Kinkou. Despite his small, furry stature, he yearns to go against any threat with a rampant storm of shurikens and boundless enthusiasm. Alongside his master Shen, Kennen patrols the spirit realm, utilizing devastating electrical energy to strike down his enemies.”

Kennen's abilities

(Passive) Mark of the Storm: Kennen stuns enemies he hits 3 times with his abilities.

(Q) Thundering Shuriken: Kennen hurls a high-speed shuriken at a location, dealing damage and adding a Mark of the Storm to any opponent hit.

(W) Electric Surge: Kennen passively deals additional damage and adds a Mark of the Storm to his target every certain number of attacks. He can activate this ability to deal damage and add another Mark of the Storm to targets that are already Marked.

(E) Lightning Charge: Kennen assumes a form of lightning, allowing him to pass through units and apply the Mark of the Storm. It also gains Movement Speed when assuming this form and Attack Speed when exiting it.

(R) Slicing Maelstrom: Kennen summons a storm that hits nearby enemy champions for magic damage.

The (E) Lightning Charge skill allows you to pass through units.
The ability (E) Lightning Charge increases Kennen's toughness, which can allow her to survive, for example, Karthus's or Caitlyn's ultimate.
When the (E) Lightning Charge skill hits at least one enemy, you gain energy back.
You can cast all your spells during (E) Lightning Charge
There is a visual indication when the passive effect of (W) Electric Surge is available.
Kennen gains attack speed for four seconds from (E) Lightning Charge
