🕹Builds And Runes: Illaoi Champion's Guide

Illaoi is a champion fighter. Her abilities allow the champion to deal large amounts of AoE damage to her enemies. In addition, the champion can pull the soul of an enemy champion, dealing heavy damage to them while away from them. Illaoi is very powerful in team fights, due to her great survivability and damage potential. Typically, this champion is used in the top lane.

Champion Description

“Illaoi's powerful physique is second only to her indomitable faith. As the prophetess of the Great Craquem, she uses a gigantic golden totem to rip the spirits of her enemies from their bodies and shatter their perception of reality. All who challenge the "True Bearer of Nagakaburos" soon discover that Illaoi never goes into battle alone — the god of Serpent Isle fights alongside her."

Illaoi abilities

(Passive) Prophetess of an Elder God: Illaoi and the Vessels she creates spawn Tentacles in nearby impassable terrain. Tentacles strike spirits, Vessels, and victims of Illaoi's Hard Lesson. Tentacles deal physical damage to enemies hit and heal Illaoi if they hit a champion.

(Q) Tentacle Strike: Increases the damage dealt by Tentacles. When activated, Illaoi strikes with a Tentacle that deals physical damage.

(W) Hard Lesson: Illaoi leaps towards her target, dealing physical damage and causing nearby Tentacles to also strike the target.

(E) Test of Spirit: Illaoi rips the spirit from an enemy's body, forcing them to stand before her. Spirits echo a percentage of the damage they take to the original target. If downed, or if it strays too far from the spirit, the target transforms into a Vessel and begins to spawn Tentacles.

(R) Leap of Faith: Illaoi slams the ground with her idol, dealing Physical Damage to nearby enemies. A Tentacle spawns for each champion hit.

Illaoi Tips and Tricks

The animation of the skill (E) Test of Spirit is invisible to the enemy team if Illaoi is not visible.
If an enemy hit by (E) Test of Spirit moves too far away from your ghost, it will be slowed and cause tentacles to appear around it for 12 seconds.
You can use Flash at the same time as (E) Spirit Test to increase your range and surprise your opponent.
When the (R) Leap of Faith skill is active, the (W) Hard Lesson skill reduces the cooldown to 2 seconds and the tentacle movements are 50% faster.
The (R) Leap of Faith skill spawns a tentacle for each enemy hit and an additional tentacle if you hit the ghost of (E) Test of Spirit.
You can use Flash during the (R) Leap of Faith animation to move the impact zone.
