🕹Builds and Runes: Champion Talon's Guide

Talon is an assassin champion. Talon has great burst potential and map presence. His abilities allow the champion to jump through the walls of the map, thus being able to quickly move around the same. This allows the champion to perform powerful ganks or flanks, killing opposing carriers with its massive burst power. Typically, this champion is used in mid lane.

Champion Description

“Talon is the dagger in the darkness, a ruthless assassin capable of striking without warning and escaping before any alarms sound. He built a dangerous reputation on the brutal streets of Noxus, where he was forced to fight, kill and steal to survive. Adopted by the notorious Du Couteau family, he now wields his deadly skills at the command of the empire, slaying enemy leaders, captains, and heroes... beyond any Noxian foolish enough to earn his masters scorn.”

Talon's abilities

(Passive) Blade's Threshold: Talon's abilities inflict Wounds on champions and large monsters, stacking up to 3 times. When Talon attacks a champion with 3 stacks of Wound, the target takes heavy bleed damage over time.

(Q) Noxian Diplomacy: Talon stabs target unit. If they are close enough for a melee attack, the attack deals critical damage. If they are out of melee range, Talon will jump on the target and stab them. Talon recovers some health and cooldown if his ability kills the target.

(W) Rake: Talon sends a volley of daggers that return to him, dealing physical damage each time he passes an enemy. Returning blades deal additional damage and slow the unit.

(E) Assassin's Path: Talon leaps over any terrain or structures, up to a maximum distance. This ability has a low cooldown, but makes terrain unusable for a long time.

(R) Shadow Attack: Talon fires a ring of blades and becomes Invisible while gaining bonus Movement Speed. When Talon emerges from Invisibility, the blades converge on him. Each time the blade moves, Shadow Strike deals Physical Damage to enemies hit by at least one blade.

Talon Tips and Tricks

The (Q) Noxian Diplomacy skill automatically deals a critical hit if you are already in melee with your target.
The (Q) Noxian Diplomacy skill resets the basic attack animation.
The (E) Assassin's Path skill can be used to pass through terrain created by a champion (eg Anivia wall or Trundle pillar).
You can use (Q) Noxian Diplomacy on an opposing troop so that you can hit (W) Rake on a distant opponent. You can use the first spell during travel time (W) Rake to instantly apply your three passive marks.
