Jarvan IV is a tank champion. Jarvan IV is a champion with great teamfight startup power. Despite being a tank, the champion has great damage potential. Typically, this champion is used in the wild. It can also be seen on other routes, such as at the top.

Champion Description

“Prince Jarvan, descendant of the Shieldfire Dynasty, is the current heir to the throne of Demacia. Raised to be an example of his nation's great virtues, he is forced to balance the high expectations placed upon him with his own desire to fight on the front lines. Jarvan inspires his troops with his fearsome courage and selfless determination, raising the flag in the family colors and revealing his true strength as the future leader of his people.”

Jarvan IV Abilities

(Passive) Martial Cadence: Jarvan's first basic attack to an enemy deals bonus physical damage based on their current Health. This effect will not occur on the same enemy again for a few seconds.

(Q) Dragon Strike: Jarvan IV extends his spear, dealing physical damage and reducing the Armor of enemies hit. In addition, it will pull Jarvan towards his Demacian Banner, knocking enemies into the air.

(W) Golden Aegis: Jarvan IV summons the ancient kings of Demacia to protect him from harm and delay nearby enemies.

(E) Demacian Banner: Jarvan IV carries the pride of Demacia, passively gaining bonus Attack Speed. Activating the Demacian Banner allows Jarvan IV to place a Demacian flag that deals magic damage and grants Attack Speed to nearby allied champions.

(R) Cataclysm: Jarvan IV heroically leaps towards the target with enough force to warp the terrain, creating an arena around him. Nearby enemies take damage on impact.

Jarvan IV Tips and Tricks

Jarvan IV can block his opponents in his arena and then come out with (E) Demacian Banner and (Q) Dragon Strike.
Your combo can go through all the walls on the map.
It is possible to use Flash during the combo of (E) Demacian Banner and (Q) Dragon Strike to change your trajectory or hit an enemy even more. However, this requires a little training.
The shield of the Golden Aegis (W) skill increases with the number of enemies around you. Use it at the right time.
The (E) Demacian Banner skill gives you the vision, use it to know if an enemy is hiding in a bush.
The (E) Demacian Banner skill also increases your allies' attack speed, use it when pushing as a team or during a neutral objective.
The (E) Demacian Banner skill lasts for 8 seconds, so you can use the (Q) Dragon Strike skill 2 times on the same flag when the spell is at max level.
