The game combines an immersive storyline, memorable characters and interesting units with deep, strategic and fast-paced gameplay, providing hours and hours of entertainment.

Each mission will see you taking command of a base, where you must harvest resources, build additional buildings, research technologies, and form an army to fight and conquer your enemy.

A digital card-battle game in the vein of Magic: The Gathering, Blizzard's iteration draws from the rich lore of its beloved World of Warcraft universe, allowing you to play as legendary heroes and villains as you battle other players in competition. virtual.

Each hero or villain represents one of Hearthstone's nine classes, each with distinct abilities and unique spell cards. You can only bring a limited number of spell cards with you in each battle, which limits the strategies available to you. There is also an element of randomness, as you have no control over the order in which your cards appear. You and your opponent take turns drawing and casting spell cards, and you win by reducing the opposing hero or villain to zero life.

Card battles are only half the fun. As you play, you will earn in-game currency that you can use to buy new card packs. They contain a fixed number of random spell cards, ranging from cannon fodder to rare and powerful spells and abilities around which you can build new strategies and playstyles.

Don't be fooled by its colorful aesthetic and easy-to-pick up nature, there's a complex and strategic card system at its core that is rewarding to discover and master.

A distinct entry into the popular MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) genre, Spellbreak puts you in the role of a spellcasting mage whose mission is to fight other sorcerers and fulfill objectives depending on the game mode you choose.

Unlike other MOBAs, you don't choose a class when playing. Instead, your "class" is determined by the elemental nature of the magical gauntlets you find scattered around the arena you're fighting in. This allows you to change your class on the fly, picking up another magic glove if the current one isn't working for you.

There are six types of elements offered, namely ice, fire, lightning, stone, wind and toxic. Plus, you can run, jump and fly around the arena, blasting opposing players with all sorts of fantastic spells. Advanced players can even equip gauntlets of two different elements to cast spectacular combo spells (think fire air for a fire tornado, etc).

Spellbreak also offers cross-platform play so you can get your friends who are on consoles or handhelds like the Nintendo Switch to join your battle.

League of Legends

League of Legends follows the classic team-based MOBA formula, where teams of five players fight each other in an attempt to be the first to destroy the opposing base.

There are multiple characters and classes to choose from, each requiring varying skill levels to successfully play and control. The character roster offers a wide and imaginative selection, from poison dart-throwing hamsters to assassins with the most diverse weapons, gigantic stone elementals and everything in between.

A big part of the fun is learning to play the different classes, discovering their strengths and weaknesses and building your favorite set. While there is an undeniable rush to fighting and defeating the enemy on the map, there is also a layer of strategy involved. It's not enough to be skillful individually, all players must band together as a team to methodically take down the enemy base. It's this deep strategic layer that emphasizes teamwork that helped League of Legends become a leading eSport.

You can download and play League of Legends for free on your computer, and while there are plenty of fantastic character skins and particle effects to buy for real money, these purchases are purely for vanity. The game can be fully enjoyed without ever costing a single penny.

Taking a leaf out of Nintendo's famous Super Smash Bros., Brawlhalla offers the same fun and immersive multiplayer gameplay with a new roster of fighters.

Fight with up to seven of your friends in an epic test of strength and skill after choosing your favorite fighter from a roster of colorful and memorable characters. There are also weapons that change your fighting style when equipped and powerful gadgets that can turn the tide against your enemy.

Brawlhalla is praised for its crisp controls and movements, adorable cast of fighters, and streamlined, well-designed stages. It is also praised for playing online smoothly, which is quite a feat considering that even big-budget titles can be plagued by multiplayer connectivity issues.

The 2D brawler game is great if you're looking to let off steam with some mindless fun. There are also several game modes offered, increasing the gameplay value.

The base game is free to download and play. There are character packs available for purchase that will grant you additional fighters, such as the hilarious Kung Fu Panda gang.

Apex Legends

Apex Legends is a new entrant to the Battle Royale genre where you basically fight your way to the top to be the last one standing, and it introduces some innovative new features.

Instead of playing as a lone wolf, you have to team up with other players for intense squad-based firefights. As a result, your character choice will have a much greater impact on your team's results, as different characters bring unique abilities and strengths to the table.

This innovation, along with several others available in the game, bring a deeper layer to the gameplay. Rather than simply trying to outdo everyone else, success lies in being able to use your team's strengths and mitigate its weaknesses.

There are 13 characters released so far, fulfilling traditional roles such as tank, healer, damage dealer and support. There's also a wide variety of weapons to be found as you play, from sniper rifles to shotguns and everything in between, while each Legend has its own set of skills.

The game is free to play and offers regular season passes for purchase. You can use them to unlock new Legends to play with while earning a host of cosmetic items. However, you don't need to buy a season pass to unlock new Legends. You can do this just by playing the game to earn the required currency.

Call of Duty: War zone

An offshoot of the beloved Call of Duty franchise, Warzone is Activision's take on the Battle Royale genre. The game doesn't try to turn the beloved genre upside down. Instead, it makes some welcome tweaks, keeps the rest, and stays true to its first-person shooter roots.

One thing Warzone makes different is the flattening of the loot curve. Unlike other popular Battle Royales that place a strong emphasis on finding the right loot to create the ideal set, Warzone streamlines the process by offering weapons with pre-configured upgrades. This allows you to simply find the weapon of choice and proceed with hunting the enemy, rather than spending the first half of the battle looking for parts before you even think about firing the first shot.

Another tweak changes how death and respawns work. When you are downed, instead of dying and being immediately reborn, you will participate in a melee fight. Win and you will be released to continue the battle.

This system allows you to eliminate some pent-up frustration of being defeated, while supporting a more fluid game play. Warzone carries some of Call of Duty's gameplay features, including killstreaks (powerful and spectacularly devastating attacks like airstrikes) that can be very frustrating moments, especially in the final minutes of the game when everyone asks for their killstreaks to try and turn the tide.

However, the free-to-play game is a worthy addition to the Battle Royale genre. Like its peers, Warzone offers season passes for purchase, which help you obtain rare cosmetic items and accelerate your progress towards unlocking new perks.

Blade and soul

A high fantasy game set in the ethereal world of Asian martial arts, Blade and Soul is a beautifully realized digital world populated by all manner of fantastical creatures and skilled martial artists.

You'll play as the sole survivor of an attack on your clan and must venture out, hone your skills, seek out allies, and eventually exact your revenge. The game offers a vast, lush, cinematic world for you to explore, a delightful task given the imaginative movement options you have at your disposal.

Just like in classic martial arts novels, your character can slide, jump, and jump your way, rather than simply walking or running along a fixed path. At higher levels, you'll unlock special portals that will launch you across the world in creatively executed sequences that rival some of the best anime scenes.

There are a total of 12 classes to choose from, each with their own unique characteristics and playstyles. Fights are fast-paced and flashy, with lots of exciting acrobatic moves, cool weapons, and dazzling spell effects.

This Korean MMORPG was released in 2012 in the East, but it was recently released in the Western world. It's completely free to download and play, but you can spend real money for player perks and quality of life improvements like extra storage space.
