Back 4 Blood: Know what are the system requirements needed to play

Back 4 Blood, a game developed by Turtle Rock Studios, is almost here, and is likely to draw Left 4 Dead fans back into the world of PC gaming. Fortunately, despite being a modern successor to Turtle Rock's original horror FPS, Back 4 Blood's system requirements aren't all that horrible. In fact, the game's recommended specs really bring Nvidia's GTX series not going to an untimely death.

Back 4 Blood's not-so-unfortunate recommendations are a bit unconventional, as they include entries we're used to seeing on minimum requirements lists. For starters, Turtle Rock Studios recommends a GTX 970 GPU, a card that made its debut in 2014. The game's minimum specs include the more modern, albeit less powerful, 1050 Ti, which means if you're using an Nvidia RTX GPU , running Back 4 Blood will be easy.

Of course, Back 4 Blood's AMD requirements aren't as lenient as Nvidia's, as the game's minimum and required specs call for Radeon RX series cards. While the RX 570 is on par with the GTX 970, it is significantly newer and tends to go much higher in the used market. So if you're planning on putting together some cheap gear to play Back 4 Blood, you might want to stick with the green team.

Before diving into Back 4 Blood, you might also want to free up space on your hard drive or SSD for gaming. The game's space requirements aren't excessive, but if your unit is small, or if you have games like Call of Duty: Warzone installed, you might need to change things up a bit. Back 4 Blood's file size is also significantly larger than its predecessor, Left 4 Dead 2, so you won't be able to pull much of an install switch.
