    content warning

Every boss has a weakness, in real life and in Archero. We have all the different bosses listed here with the best strategy to use against them. Regular chapter bosses are often mixed up randomly, so you'll see them appearing in other chapters as well. For that reason, you'll find them all in the first section of this guide.

In the second section you will find the final bosses of each chapter with the best strategy against them as well. They're not random, so we've sorted them by chapter.

    Regular Bosses in Archero

One thing worth mentioning here is that Archero's bosses, as many as they are, do not have names. In this way, we created alternate names for the game's bosses, to better identify them in this list.

    bouncing skull

    Source: Screenshot of the game

This skull starts out as a skull but splits in two each time you kill it. This happens several times, and although he walks around all the time, he doesn't specifically chase you. He will run up against the wall and then bounce off there.

The easiest strategy to defeat this boss will be to kill one skeleton at a time to prevent dozens running around. If that happens, you'll have a hard time avoiding them and that makes this boss fight harder than it needs to be.

    Fire Breathing Dragon

    Source: Screenshot of the game

This one is pretty easy to beat with pretty predictable projectiles you need to escape. Keep moving at all times and always stay on the top or bottom side and when the boss approaches you (about a third of the room) switch sides to keep your distance.

The distance helps you see the direction of the projectiles on the one hand, but it also makes them farther apart, so you have more space between the fireball to move around. Just stay out of trouble here and hit your shots as they come and also let your pet do some damage.

You should also time how you move and don't start moving when the first fireball comes towards you as the other will direct it too. The longer you wait, the more fireballs will go in one direction and you'll be able to escape more easily.

    Electric Dragon

    Source: Screenshot of the game

Let's assume it's something electrical that the boss spits out. The strategy here is to carefully watch the lines the projectiles create and less focus on the boss itself. You'll automatically fire shots at him, so don't worry about not damaging him.

It is important to always watch the lines carefully and see where to step, as you can see in the image, they always move in a straight line vertically or horizontally and you have the spaces between them.

    Plant

    Source: Screenshot of the game

The best strategy against this boss is to ignore the mini-plants and deal their damage quickly. If you try to take them down first, the boss will spawn new ones so fast that you'll likely fall before you win the fight.

So damage the main boss, but keep your projectiles in mind. The big seed bubble will explode in 8 directions, but it's really predictable. It will always shoot in the same place you are and when you back away, make sure you don't do it in a vertical, horizontal or 45 degree diagonal direction. If you follow this rule, they'll never hit you and you don't have to get far away and take more shots.

    Spider and Double Spider

    Source: Screenshot of the game

Depending on which chapter you're in in Archero, you'll see one or two spiders, but they're pretty easy to deal with.

They can only walk diagonally, so keep that in mind. They will go towards you, but never straight. Whenever you kill one, it will spawn in 2 minors for 5 rounds. The main strategy here is to keep them from hitting you (always staying horizontally or vertically with them) and focusing on one spider at a time. If you don't follow this rule, you can have 15 spiders running around and splitting and this can mess up your plan to avoid them. Follow that rule and you'll be fine.

    fire worms

    Source: Screenshot of the game

They can be unpleasant, but not impossible at all. Your best strategy here is to avoid his projectiles and focus on that. You find strategies that staying in their position won't get you hit, but unless you use the blade weapon, that's not true, so stay away from them.

Always watch what kind of projectile they fire at you. They have the fireballs that burn the area and the red bubbles. In the case of fireballs, move away from your current position to stay away from the area. If you see them spit that red bubble thing as far as possible, you'll see the space you'll be saved in. Do this and hope your pet does the most damage, it's the only way to not lose too much HP with them.

    Red Bubble Worms

    Source: Screenshot of the game

The alternate version of the Worm Bosses are the ones that only shoot with the red bubble projectiles. They are easier to beat when you understand their pattern. This is also a boss where you will mostly escape projectiles and allow your pet to do more damage.

They have their slow blast projectile that will start from their current position and explode in a fixed pattern around them and their fast projectile that they will shoot at you and as soon as it hits a wall it will explode in a fan shape. Know these two patterns and you can easily predict savepoints.

    trees

    Source: Screenshot of the game

This is a boss where your pet will do the most damage, especially if it's two of them. But you'll also see spawns that will also shoot projectiles, so avoiding them is work enough, it's too much to get a lot of shots.

And if that's not enough, this "son of the tree" will also jump into your position and deal on-hit damage. You need to move all the time and keep your distance. If you're experienced enough and use the Stalker Staff as a weapon, you can "leave" a projectile for him when he jumps, but don't stress too much.

The main strategy will be to observe the green projectiles that always move in a straight line and if the tree is jumping towards you. the jumps are random, so you can't count them. When the tree stops, he will shoot blue projectiles at you and there are many. You can best avoid them by standing still in the distance and finding the gap where they will miss you.

    Scooters

    Source: Screenshot of the game

The wasp boss is also not difficult with the right strategy. The wasps will always shoot the red seeds towards you (which are quite easy to avoid when you keep your distance) or it will spawn four little wasps in the corners of the room.

Always stay in the lower middle section as the wasps will never collide with you and this way you can drop the little wasps spawning in the corner without risking damage from them. Having extra diagonal projectiles helps here, but ultimately no difficult bosses.

    Bat

    Source: Screenshot of the game

The only difficult thing about this boss in Archero is that you have to be patient. Whenever the bat boss advances towards you, it will release an emerging circle of projectiles that move in a circle. Always remember, this boss always rotates clockwise and that means projectiles will come first on the right side of its movement direction.

You should always try to keep as much distance as possible and you have about 4 seconds between charges that you can use to fire. Then get as far away from that boss as possible and repeat. If you are very close and need to pass close, always try to pass from the left side as the projectiles start on the right side.

    Straw man

    Source: Screenshot of the game

This boss is tricky because the projectiles are harder to predict. He shoots a pumpkin (or whatever) and he will launch 8 fire projectiles in all directions. The fact is, they rotate too, so it's harder to predict their path (or maybe it's just me who finds this harder than if they just flew in a straight line).

The best strategy against this boss is to keep your distance, the further away you are, the more space you have between projectiles, which makes it easier to escape. But be careful, if the pumpkin's path is long enough, it can fire a second time and you can totally miss and get hit.

This boss also randomly places two pumpkins on the map that also fire at the same time, this can be a tough time, so always stay focused.

    Cactus

    Source: Screenshot of the game

Actually, this is not a very strong boss in Archero. This cactus appears to be a magician and launches small tornadoes at you and rushes towards you. If you watch him closely and see what he is doing, you can evade his attacks quite effectively.

His normal attacks are 3 tornadoes that he shoots at you one after the other in a diagonal direction. He does this twice and then he goes straight towards you, this is the point where you need to start backing away to the other side of the room, to the left or right of you. After that you will see 3 red lines, they indicate the next tornadoes he will throw at you and everything repeats.

    Turning Stone

    Source: Screenshot of the game

Not a difficult boss, but super annoying in Archero. He only does two things, one is to spin and advance towards him or throw his 7 stones towards him in a fan shape.

Load and spin is really annoying because it's fast and sometimes it does it 10 times or more one after the other. There's no way to do much damage when he attacks, so focus on staying away from him in this phase.

When he stops and throws rocks, that's where you need to hit as many as possible, because dodging them is very easy and that's the only time he's not attacking you.

    Lobo

    Source: Screenshot of the game

For this boss you need a faster weapon or you need to play your hunting game while your pet takes all the damage.

The wolf boss will either snipe towards you or jump to your current position, leaving you time to fire off a rapid-fire weapon. Constantly keep moving and always at a 90 degree angle to him or he will get a very short load path and will likely catch up with you.

When you see him jump, you also need to step away from the position. This is the complete strategy for this boss. It's not very complicated, but it's very annoying.

    fire orb

    Source: Screenshot of the game

This one isn't a difficult boss either, if you understand the pattern. The most important thing to do is keep your distance, but he'll move backwards anyway, so you can stay at the bottom of the room. The important thing is that you don't get so far away that you can't see him, this makes one of his attacks dangerous.

He has three different attacks that start randomly. The first is the small, fan-shaped fireballs he shoots at you. Easy enough to escape. The next are larger orbs spawning in the area around you and they will head towards him, so don't get in their way. This is where you need to know where it is so you can predict its direction.

The last attack is the small orbs that move in straight vertical and horizontal directions and are also easy to avoid by standing diagonally towards them, so it doesn't matter if they go vertically or horizontally, you won't get hit by them.

    archers

    Source: Screenshot of the game

Success or failure against this boss in Archero is nothing more than time. It doesn't matter if you have one or two Archers, the strategy is always the same and your success depends a lot on your time.

When they fire, you'll see the red lines that show where the arrows will go. Don't move too fast, if you move right away, the arrows' direction changes and you still get hit. You need to move in the opposite direction before the arrows are fired so the archer boss cannot change the direction of the shot.

This is the only thing you need to do, always wait a bit before they shoot and then move. Just wait until the red line disappears, this is the perfect time to start moving.

    Mago

    Source: Screenshot of the game

This boss is again a boss that will force you to keep moving and run a lot with three different attacks. He will fire rapid fire projectiles, meteors or his purple orbs that will follow you.

Meteors are announced by the 5 rings on the ground and when you see them you need to leave your current position. Rapid fire projectiles always go straight and are also easy to evade if you keep your distance. The annoying ones are the purple orbs that follow him, but only up to a point. You can also easily avoid them by waiting as long as possible before starting to move. The less distance they have, the less they can adapt their direction. You repeat this strategy until you or your pet has dealt enough damage, but this boss doesn't have that much HP.

    Scythe Mage

    Source: Screenshot of the game

This boss has a lot of things you can hate him for. He spins, runs and has a super annoying attack with a fast scythe that also bounces off the wall or three scythes that will bounce back at him. The right strategy against this boss is, when he moves and spins, you also have to move, there's no way to stay, he's just too fast and will hold you back.

When shooting with your single scythe behind you, try to miss a little, this is the most effective way to make sure the jump doesn't hit you without doing complex math calculations. The only exception is when you get too close to a wall and need to move in the opposite direction.

When he throws his three scythes, you can predict them, as one will go straight at you and the other two will go 45 degrees diagonally. Try to keep your distance so you can predict them and not get hit when they return. Remember they come back.

    Bomber Ghost

    Source: Screenshot of the game

Have you ever played Bomberman? If so, this is a boss you'll either like (or hate). The Ghost Bomber will always place multiple mines that explode in a horizontal or vertical direction, so staying diagonally across from them will keep you safe. Alternatively, you can also stay at least 5 pieces away from each bomb.

This boss's other attack is to throw several bombs towards you that you can easily dodge when you keep at a certain distance and also keep moving when you see that he starts shooting at you.

The Best Weapons in V Rising: A Guide to All Weapons and…

This boss's projectiles are a nightmare. There are many of them and each of them explodes into 4 smaller ones that go diagonally. The problem is that it is very difficult to predict them correctly, so the best tactic here is to keep your distance and observe the projectiles closely. If you see one exploding, make sure you stay horizontal or vertical to it, but it probably won't avoid getting hit a few times.

The good part is that this boss doesn't have a lot of HP, so it won't be a long fight.

    Orb of Fragments

    Source: Screenshot of the game

This boss is similar to the fire orb boss, but he has some more annoying attacks. One is electrical orbs that slowly move in diagonal directions towards you and spawn smaller ones. They can be annoying, but also predictable. The shards are the tricky part here, because you also need to see the boss. The shards are very fast and this boss doesn't take long to fire them in a fan-shaped fashion towards you, leaving little time to avoid them.

    Medusa

    Source: Screenshot of the game

Here we have a pretty easy boss in Archero with a simple strategy to beat. She will always double jump multiple times and then spit a ton of those red bubble projectiles towards her. The strategy is really very easy. When she spits the bubbles towards her, find the gap to avoid them and get ready for her to double-jump you.

After the first run you don't have to walk very far from here as the second run will always go towards you but not your position. Walk around her after the first run and she will always miss you in the second run.

    Tentacle

    Source: Screenshot of the game

This boss is all about running away and watching out for the little tentacles. Basically, you will avoid the fireballs from the little tentacles and be careful as the main tentacle will always appear in your position when the little tentacles disappear. Then the little tentacles will spawn again and repeat.

A quick weapon helps to do some extra damage, otherwise you'll need to wait for your pet to do the damage. You can't kill the little tentacles, so just focus on avoiding their projectiles and the big tentacle's resurgence.

    Infernal Tower

    Source: Screenshot of the game

In fact, an easy boss. He will be static in the middle of the room and will fire beams of fire horizontally/vertically or diagonally. These beams are even announced by the red line beforehand, so it's not really hard to avoid.

In the meantime, this boss will spawn mobs that you should always try to take down as quickly as possible while staying out of the beams. This boss simply comes down to how much damage you can deal so you can take out the mobs in time. If you see that the mobs get more and more numerous, you need to do more damage and upgrade or you won't stand a chance against this boss.

    Orb Tower

    Source: Screenshot of the game

This boss is the combination of all the orbs you've seen in Archero so far, spitting out the crazy random blue orbs, lightning bolts, fire orbs and everything in between.

This boss won't spawn mobs, but you'll already have a hard time avoiding all projectiles while still doing some damage. Stay clear and focus primarily on the projectiles to avoid. The orb tower doesn't move, so there's not much to worry about other than getting hit.

    ice scorpion

    Source: Screenshot of the game

This boss runs towards you, so be careful to stay safe and away from him. Especially his other attack, the ice attack, has a huge hit radius as well as being very fast. If you don't stay far enough away, it will just crush you.

This is not everything. This boss can also dig into the ground and will simply appear in whatever position you are in. If you see him disappear, don't attack the mobs, change your position until he appears again.

Last but not least, he also has a ring of ice spheres that are really narrow if you're close to him. He always does that when he comes in again, so you really want to keep moving.

    ice wizard

    Source: Screenshot of the game

This boss is also nasty. He usually also brings some ice golems with him, so there will be a ton of ice orbs flying around that are really hard to escape. You will receive some hits, with no chance to avoid them.

The boss himself also has a shard attack that is very fast and will hit you with three shards if you get hit, so be very cautious here and watch him closely. The main strategy is to take down the mobs too fast or you will get hit long before you face the boss.

    Chapter Bosses in Archero

Now let's talk about the chapter bosses, they are fixed and always the same.

Chapter 1 – Final Boss: Spinning Stone

It's the boss of the Turning Stone that we talked about a little above.

Chapter 2 – Final Boss: Cactus

It's the Cactus boss we talked about a little above.

Chapter 3 – Final Boss: Lightning Dragon

    Source: Screenshot of the game

A massive dragon that only gives you about a third of the space to walk around. This boss has several attacks that will randomly shoot projectiles at you. The key here is dealing the damage really fast as you don't have much room to dodge the attacks so a long battle is not in your favor.

One attack is the lightning projectiles that bounce in five directions and they will bounce off walls. They then interfere with the other attack where lightning strikes that you'll see announced by the yellow rings on the ground.

The last attack is a “wall” of lightning that moves from top to bottom and leaves only three blocks safe. You see it coming, but it will normally be hit by the other attacks in the meantime. Even so, avoid that wall of lightning, they will do more damage than the others.

Chapter 4 – Final Boss: Fire Skeleton Bat

    Source: Screenshot of the game

Projectiles are really nasty here, but you can use the entire room, which helps. Projectiles will spawn near the boss and then move in wave patterns. Projectiles will not follow you and the further away you are, the easier it is to avoid them. The best strategy will be to wait until the boss starts shooting and then walk in one direction without stopping to avoid the projectiles as best as possible.

This boss also runs towards you from time to time and usually follows you around, so always keep moving and you shouldn't have so much trouble if your damage output is good and you have a decent pet.

Chapter 5 – Final Boss: Fire Demon

    Source: Screenshot of the game

This boss can be strong and has three attacks you need to know about. His main attack is to shoot fire projectiles towards you that will fly in waves, the closer you are to him the harder it will be to dodge them, so stay away.

His other attack is when he hits the ground and a large wave of fire comes towards him. It will come straight and fast, so when you see it doing this attack, start moving left or right, there is no other way to avoid it.

His last attack is to launch melee attacks towards you to round off his full irritating nature. When he starts, you need to back off and don't stop for a moment or you'll get hit.

Chapter 6 – Final Boss: Fire Dragon

    Source: Screenshot of the game

The same dragon you saw in Chapter 3, but this one's specialty is fire. He does two main attacks which are his huge fireballs that bounce off walls and move slowly. Slow movement doesn't make things any better here because you don't have a lot of space and it sends out multiple waves so you need to be careful or you can easily get hit multiple times.

His other attack is 3 big flames that he spits out in the middle of the room, the only safe spots are in the corners. In general, clinging to corners more is the best option against this boss and should help you get through this fight.

Chapter 7 – Final Boss: Random

The bosses here are random and one of the bosses mentioned in the first section of this guide.

Chapter 8 – Final Boss: Ogre

    Source: Screenshot of the game

This boss has a ton of HP, but the fight isn't that bad once you figure out the pattern to follow.

This boss has his primary attack which is running towards him and swinging his weapon so he gets a pretty big hitbox. Avoid this by always shooting once and then walking away 90 degrees or away from him, never towards him or he will hit you.

He also sometimes jumps into position, just keep an eye on what he's doing and you can easily dodge his punches. His other attack is to throw a huge bomb that sets a large area on fire for a few seconds, but it's slow, so you also see it coming.

Chapter 9 – Final Boss: Ice Scorpion

    Source: Screenshot of the game

This boss will shoot ice projectiles in each direction, so you should stay away from him to avoid them. The problem is that he runs towards you while shooting at the same time, which makes it difficult to keep his distance.

The other attack is a wave of ice that travels straight and fast towards your position, so you need to immediately go left or right to avoid getting hit by it.

This is a boss where you will get hit a few times, but if you study the pattern and practice a few times, the boss will be easy to beat.

Chapter 10 – Final Boss: Shard Dragon

    Source: Screenshot of the game

Again a huge dragon and this one uses shards. The hard thing about this chapter's boss is that you're only short of space and the shards are very fast, so you need to really focus here to properly avoid them.

One of his attacks spits a shard at the bottom wall that will split in a fan shape, so keep your distance from that attack to avoid the shards. He also has several shards that come towards you and also bounce back and forth from the wall, actually the easiest to avoid.

The rain of shards will randomly hit shards on the ground and there's no way to see them coming, they're hits you're likely to receive. Avoid the first two attacks and try to do as much damage as possible.

Chapter 11 – Final Boss: Skeleton Knight

    Source: Screenshot of the game

This boss will throw several waves of rocks around you that are easy to avoid if you keep your distance. He'll then launch himself at you and leave a line of fire in his path that you won't be able to pass through until he's back on the run. Be cautious here, he'll try to trap you in a corner where you can't do anything but walk that line, so stay away from the edges of the room. You can see he starts to run when he raises his sword and you need to walk to the side and close to the line of fire so you don't block too much of the room where he can trap you.

He also summons skeletons which you should always deal with first, because they get you in trouble if there are too many of them.

Chapter 12 – Final Boss: Orbs

    Source: Screenshot of the game

This boss is the stationary orbs that will flood the room with the fire and ice projectiles that have slow fixed patterns that make them predictable but there are so many that it is not easy to avoid them.

There are also random lightning bolts, so it's all about evading the orbs and focusing on one side to take them down as quickly as possible, that's the strategy that works best.

Using a fast weapon helps a lot here as you have to move around a lot and getting the shots right will make everything easier.

Chapter 13 Final Boss – Fire Demon

    Source: Screenshot of the game

This is a really tough chapter boss, with all of its attacks being hard to deal with.

His main attack is to jump into his position and spread fire in 2 spaces around him. When you see him jump, run. If you don't start moving right away when he jumps, you'll be caught in the ring of fire. Also, move straight vertically or horizontally, this is the shortest way to leave the oncoming ring of fire as diagonally is a longer way.

In between, he also shoots fire projectiles or his fire earthquake which is fast and goes straight to his current position. This boss is constantly running around the room and a quick weapon helps a lot to not just rely on your pet to deal all the damage.

Chapter 14 – Final Boss: Ice Spider

    Source: Screenshot of the game

With these spiders, a lot is happening. They will jump into your position, similar to the tree boss. What happens here is they have spinning ice orbs that fire all the time, so basically most of the map is filled with projectiles as they jump at you.

This boss basically boils down to a little luck as well as good gear and rng. You need to watch carefully when one of them is jumping, and in the meantime, try to avoid the large groups of projectiles to deal enough damage to knock it down. Once you manage to catch one, it gets easier, but sometimes it's not that easy, so get ready to revive here.
