There's also been mention of African civilizations coming up with another expansion, but we don't yet have details on when that will happen.
Considering all these other updates we're getting, we expect it to be a while before we hear more details about this expansion.
Not to mention they're working on Age of Empires 4, which we first saw the other day.
In addition to the new content we will see for Age of Empires 2 and 3, Age of Empires 4 will be released in Fall 2021.
The game includes a new look, with the intention of making historical events as realistic as possible to mirror what actually happened within hundreds of years of history.
Additionally, Age of Empires 4 will feature eight different playable civilizations in four different ages: Medieval, Feudal, Castle, and Imperial. Many fans are excited about this new Age of Empires game.
